Gives a good comfortable shave

I was using a Norelco shaver for over 10 years. When it finally died, I got this to give it a try. I'm very satisfied with the job it does. I get a good shave w/o the discomfort I can get with a razor. TBH, I haven't tried the app, and don't have a need for it. (and I'm a fairly big nerd). The only complaint I have is my old Norelco had a stand that would charge the shaver. This one doesn't, and I couldn't find one where the shaver wasn't held up by the charging connector. In my experience, that is just asking for the port to fail prematurely. Now maybe the engineers at Norelco have solved that problem, but I want to get s long a life out of this shaver s I did it's predecessor, so I'd prefer not to try it.

It’s okay

I bought this for my papi (boyfriend; I like to call him that) and he was so excited to open this gift for Valentine’s Day. He never owned an electric shaver and said that he had one when he was 18 but it was a $10 shaver. So I wanted to treat him to something very nice. He shaves almost everyday due to his job. But just yesterday I saw his face like I normally do and noticed there was strands of hair on his cheeks that I guess he missed. I asked him if he used this electric shaver and he said “of course” and kisses me. (He’s sweet).. but I guess even these expensive shavers don’t get all the hairs. So please keep in mind if that. You might have to go over a few times.. or he might not be using the correct shave cream.

Incredible good

Very surprise with the good shave it gives, fast and close. I have a Braun 7000 series, much more expensive and nothing to do with the Philips Norelco 7100. It charges in an hour and last a long time, extremely happy with the shave, not even with a blade I get such a good shave and the skin lis left soft.

Upgrade

The reason I bought this is because I left my 9200 series at a relatives house. This doesn’t give a quick, close shave like the 9200 series but it’s not a bad shave. Just have to make a few extra passes.

Confortable shaves, great battery life

I love this shaver - best I've owned. I'm a little older and this is easy to hold onto for my slightly artritic hands. Also being older, the skin on my throat is getting harder to shave with a blade but this shaver does a closer and more comfortable job. It's not as good on the top of my head, the blade sets are really made for a face with their angles, but it does work. The little "grade" it gives you is good for training yourself to use the circular motion which is optimal for this device. I got rid of the app in short order, it's pretty much marketing unless you really like to track your shaving performance... But it's helpful in the beginning - but the shaver itself will show you when you're non-compliant, LOL. Overall, a really good shaver.

Great Razor

Feels great in hand, not too large or slim. Great shave whether wet or dry, and pop up blade is great as well. Charge lasts forever, I’ve gotten 5 shaves or more on one charge. Only thing I don’t really like is it doesn’t come with a charging stand. Would be a easier to keep it out of the way.

Not that great

I have an old Braun Series 5 8985cc, a foil shaver that of course cuts as close as a razor and leaves my face smooth - but the problem area and the reason why I bought a rotary shaver was to catch all the stubborn neck hairs that the Braun missed. This Norelco only manages to catch a few more than the Braun, or just cut them a little bit shorter rather than shave them off completely - and in the end I still have to make a few passes with a razor to finish off those neck hairs, and I have dark hair so it's pretty visible on my face and not something that I can neglect. My other complaint is that there's nowhere on the product page that specified what this shaver was constructed with - it's all plastic parts with a metallic paint job finish to make it look more rugged and durable than it really is. I guess this is a good shaver in a pinch and it does have the benefit of being able to work in both wet and dry environments - that's a big bonus. But the app it came with, I never use that. I don't want extra bells and whistles, I just want a rugged electric shaver that cuts close and shaves off every hair and is built to last for a decade or more. I'd gladly pay more for a product like that - a one-and-done kind of deal.

Very disappointed in shave

I have been using this brand for 60 years and found this shaver to be disappointing considering the price that was double to my last two razors. The shaving head is too large. the cutting blades are regular size which means the cutting blades are much further away from the edge. Difficult to shave around the nose.

Excelente rasuradora

Me gusto la rasuradora, se ve de muy buena calidad, los materiales se sienten bien construidos, además se ve elegante y fácil de utilizar, solo es mencionar que esta rasuradora no incluye la base ni el estuche de viaje, solo viene en la caja: - La rasuradora - Un cable de corriente - Una tapa - Un cepillo chico para limpieza Sin embargo por el precio considero que no es necesario el estuche de viaje, la otra versión que si lo contiene cuesta casi 1000 pesos mas, y esos estuches se pueden conseguir muy económicos, aunque no es problema si lo pones en tu maleta de ropa, no se daña. La carga si es muy rápida, en solo 40 min tenia cargada toda la batería, me agrada el modo de solo cargarlo 5 min y ya tienes batería para una rasurada, es algo que lo distingue de los modelos inferiores. En general se me hace un buen producto, de muy buena calidad y muy recomendable, sobre todo por el precio y las prestaciones que te da.

A very good shaver.

I had a new screen shaver for about 2 months Wal Mart---JUNK. The screen had a hole in about 1 week. The Philips Shaver is a very good shaver and it runs great and shaves very close. This shaver is a CLASS ACT. I will never buy any other brand. Amazon had the Philips shaver at my door in a few days. They are a good combo.
