Lip is Too Short (thus Does Not Work) and the Price is Too High

I am the customer who asked about the measurement of the tip of the lip where it latches. After almost 3 years, the drawing still has not been updated to include that measurement. In his answer, the manufacturer did not inform THAT specific dimension I asked about. I bought the product on Dec 2022 and found out that the measurement is 1 to 2mm shorter than what it needed to be, so IT DOES NOT WORK: the latch does not lock all the way, it does not stay in place correctly. I will initiate a return of the product today. I can't stress enough this is THE MOST important measurement to me, a deal breaker. In the past, I've shopped in person for this part, bringing an old one along as a standard of reference. I learned that all parts where this particular lip measurement was shorter, did not work. I suggest the manufacturer to: 1) Correct the part's lip dimension in that location to 5mm instead of 3mm, 2) Update the drawing as to show more measurements, and 3) Lower the product price to about $2 instead of $3.19.

It Was Too Bulky

This spring loaded sliding window latch was too bulky, and so I had to place a plastic spacer (home made) to make it latch on to the end of the window slider to prevent the window from being opened from the outside, otherwise this latch was not latching onto the metallic end frame of the basement window.

Exact replacement part

First one I installed broke first time I tried closing the window. The remaining four worked fine. They are plastic, like the original ones, so cannot be too rough with them. The original ones lasted 30 years, so hopefully these will too.
