This is one sweet little Head Lamp
Small, light, bright enough for close quarters work, combination of red & white lights is nice, casing seems durable and water tight. AAA batteries last well though I do find myself recharging batteries every few hours of use to keep brightness high - power button is a little tricky to use with gloves on even with my thinnest tactical gloves, so something to get used to though WAY better than certain other products of this kind - I love the price and so just ordered another one so I have a back unit...

Quality light that is easy to use. Red lights comes on first so you won’t lose your night vision by accidentally flipping the bright white setting.

Best cheap headlamp.
As a veteran of OEF, for things like outdoor equipment, I ask friends who are still in working as operators what they recommend. This was recommend as working well but cheap enough that you don't care if it's messed up. I haven't broken it yet, but I can say it works as advertised.

Great Headlamp
I had many headlamps throughout the years but this one is way better. I was a little bit iffy at first because of it only having 1 lightbulb but when I started using it, it made my old ones look like rookies.

Great for telescope use
I bought this to replace my old Byte which was having issues and decay. This looks like the old Byte but it has been reworked. You no longer have to cycle through the modes. First push is red followed by quick push to brighter red. Hold for white LED and second quick push for brighter white LED. This is now my main headlight for astronomy and telescope use because you can just turn on the red LED and turn it off again without having to cycle through the modes! It also angles much steeper than the Princeton Remix for close in work and night reading. I think my only real complaint would be that the coyote coloured rubber switch is harder to push and feel the indent than the old version, so it takes some getting used to.

Revised review: - Made in the U.S. and it works well
Revised: I thought the switch went out in less than 5 months but I had the batteries in wrong (yeah, I really did mess up). I recommend this product. I like buying products that are made in the U.S. I also like products that last years and years. I use this to take my dogs out every day and for multiple times. My old one lasted forever; this one will too (I suspect). The switch is a bit difficult to operate but you will get the hang of it. i will continue to buy Princeton products.

Ok, but feels cheap
I purchased because of how they talk it up with "tactical" and "IPX4". It lights up well, and I do really like that it defaults to the red light first, and you have to hold it for white light. But, it feels so flimsy and cheap that I worry about how well it will hold up, especially in the winter. The battery door just clips closed, so you have to pull the tab and bend it to unlatch it. I worry about when it's really cold and hope it doesn't just snap. I've only used it a couple hours so far with brand new energizer batteries, and it seems like it's already starting to dim. The description says 11 hours runtime but I don't think I'll get close to that. Time will tell because this WILL get wet, and exposed to cold temperatures, and roughed up a little from being in my pack with other gear, and being mounted to a helmet while walking through the woods. I will update my review in the future so it reflects how it really holds up over time. I should also note that the feel of it worries me enough that I'm buying a 2nd backup headlamp to bring with me in case this one fails.

Broken on Delivery
Don't know what to say except getting real hesitant buying online anymore. This product was broken on delivery.. Switch not working, and no light turns on. I have tried new batteries to make sure it was not just bad ones. This is a bust for a product and will be returned.
