I can bike again
I am actually amazed at how well these have helped me. I love to cycle but am limited in how much I can do beacuse of knee pain. I develope pain in the top front portion of my knee, under the patella. The pain starts off dull but gets worse as I go on. And when that happens the only thing that will help is to stop cycling. I've tried a tens unit, massage creams, ultra sound, ice and plenty more, none of which relieved the pain if I kept biking. But this simple, easy to use and quick to take on and off strap has relieved all the pain. There are written direction with pictures to explain how to use the strap. But as some other reviewers have said the sizing tends to be a little off. I measure 15 1/4. Even though I am on the upper end of large I decided to get x-large and it was a good thing I did. I am using a good portion of the strap and a size down would not have fit. They feel fine on my leg and are high quality. I could not be more pleased with this product.

One of the Best
This is a quality made strap, only down fall could be one or two inches longer. I am 5'9" 240 pounds and the extra large is on the short side. I have used other straps but they have a tendency to fall off when walking fast.

Best Support Band I Tried
This support band is properly put together. it provided the support where you need it and you can adjust it accordingly. The best of it is that it has a loop that allows you to leverage it for fit and tightness. The material is of quality and it looks like is going to last for a while.

Wrong Item
I already have a Patella Knee Strap and was very satisfied with it. When I went jogging or cycling it pretty much removed all pain. Hence, I ordered another to rotate them. However, I got the wrong item---a knee strap combined with a rubber knee brace which I did not need nor want. Considering the low cost, it was too much of a hassle to return it, so I gave it away. So, I would give it a good score if you actually get it!

Good for bursitis
Getting a second, have weak knees due to being overweight and not working out enough, this helped immensely with bursitis pain. You still need to rest up, take anti-inflammatories and ice it, but this took me from weeks of pain to moving without pain in a matter of days.

The very best patella straps you can buy
this is absolutely the best patella strap to buy. I have looked closely at all the others, Nike, etc. and the Velcro just doesn't have a clean fit so rubs on most of the other brands. Been using these and re-buying for over 20 years now. Only once did I get one that seemed to have faulting material because it stretched out way too much/fast. I am not a huge person (5'8" 150 pounds) but ordered X-Large and it fits just right. A large would maybe also work. but a medium would definitely be too small to go all the way around and Velcro the way it should.

I had torn ACL surgery years ago.. used to play basketball and football.. my knee is fully healthy now but this gives me the support I need... and after finish playing basket you don’t feel much stress on the knee.....I had it before and bought it again... do not worry about bad reviews I highly recommend...

SIZING MEASUREMENTS ARE WAY OFF, AND SURPRISINGLY NON-RETURNABLE... DON'T BOTHER... SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE!
As of 6/27/18... Sizing is way off... the XL usable section (where the soft velcro begins and marks the first point to "close/lock" the male velcro) measures 13" and stretches to 15". There is no way an XL can accommodate 17.5" calf as noted in the description. The Large usable section measures 12" and stretches to 14"; there is no way it can accommodate a 15.5" calf. My calf measures 15.5", so I bought both sizes... neither fit at all. Also, when I went to return these, I was directed to an Amazon "contact us" page. I did the chat, and was told it was a non-returnable health item. NO WHERE in the description does it say that. After a little "arguing" via chat, with Amazon unable to find that return policy either, they refunded the money, and told me not to return the items, but toss or donate.
