Fun rubicks cube but needs improvements
I got this for my my ten year old nephew last Christmas. He actually thought it was "too easy" so he colored the sides with sharpie to make it harder. He said the white background didn't give him a challenge and that it was boring. Once he colored it he loved it. Good price for the item. My two cons for this product: - wish it was colored - because of the weird shapes on the cube it can be very easy to turn in one direction but can be difficult in another direction.

It might be the hardest cube in the world, for bogus reasons...
This took me probably 4 or 5 hours to solve, broken up between 3 sittings. It is hard. Really hard. I kept on getting parities that should not happen on 3 x 3 x 3 cube. However, I eventually discovered there are two pairs of pieces that are ENTIRELY and indistinguishably interchangeable. In the picture above, you will see what appears to be two images of the same shapes, but these are two different sides of the solved cube. These shapes can be switched with their respective similar shape with NO resulting indication that they are in the wrong place. One of the important features of shape mods is that no individual piece will fit perfectly flush in a different location than the place it belongs. Now, the problem with the circled shapes being interchangeable is that, mathematically, when they are in the wrong location, this creates a resulting parity or a center turned 90 degrees the wrong way (which can not be fixed with an algorithm). So it came down to randomly exchanging these pieces until I found a combination that would allow me to finish the cube. Because parity algorithms are specific to cubes with multiple edge pieces, there were no algorithms to fix one piece being out of place, and so I had to reboot the solve MANY times before I finally got lucky enough to not get parity in that final layer. It would have still been a suitably difficult puzzle with out these "twin" pieces, and I found this to be a CHEAP, almost cheating way of making the puzzle less negotiable. I had heard many good things about this cube, but, honestly, I wish I hadn't bought this cube now. Other than coloring one of the twins, I see no other way to know which of them goes where.

Very hard!!
I bought a couple of these for gifts. They arrived quickly and intact. These are extremely hard. The no color and the rotations are what make this next lever hard.

Great gift for that cube puzzle enthusiast.
My granddaughter can do regular cubes fairly quickly. Every time we visit, she attacks a messed up one of these ghost cubes, and so does everyone else, (but with less confidence). We bought two, one that is never used as a sample, and the one mixed up on that everyone tries to fix. I placed a bounty on the mixed one for the first to get it back to the original...everyone has to try! Even I pull it out to try.

Great design, HORRIBLE quality
Credits to the puzzle designer, it's an excellent 3x3 shape mod, quite challenging (and frustrating!) My problem is the quality of the puzzle's materials and assembly. Thin, cheap plastic. Very loose. CATCHES ON ITSELF because of how BADLY cut/molded the plastic is. All for the lovely price of 25$. Do you see the problem here? If it were a 7$ I wouldn't be as bothered. Although I have bought 7$ cubes before that have better quality than this one. Not worth it. Wanted to get from mefferts because I thought it'd be better quality than the Chinese clones. Guess not. If you want a ghost cube, you'd best spend your money elsewhere

Fell apart after the first day :(
I love the concept and the challenge; however, after just one day in my office this fell apart and we could not get it put back together. Maybe there is a way to reassemble? It was cool while it lasted!

Good cube, could use some better stickers.
I get it. It's hard to have tiny stickers not come off. But they do, and it's a little frustrating. I really love this cube a lot and am able to get a lot of fun out of learning it. I think it has a great overall quality and most of the stickers cause little to no problems, but it's just the tiny corner ones that slip right off. The only way to avoid it would be sticker-less, which this product is not. So for what it is, I recommend it.

Next Level
If you, or a friend love Rubiks cube type puzzles, and you’re looking for some thing a bit more challenging, I can’t recommend this puzzle highly enough. It’s well-made, brain breaking and great value for the money. Plus, it just looks so cool sitting on a shelf, like some futuristic puzzle created by an alien genius.
