Undetectably light with timeless and dressy look

UPDATE 4/21/2015 I have had these for 2 years now. The lenses are a little scratched up but that is entirely my fault for not protecting them when not worn. The frame still seems to be in good shape. No blistering, like some of the other reviews say, so I’m wondering if some people are getting knock-offs. I love the lens color. I’ve never had Ray Ban green before, but I will never buy grey lenses again. They look black from the outside, but the green lens gives a very naturally tinted appearance without washing out colors like grey lenses do. The lenses do scratch if not taken care of, but these are also very dressy, not sporty, glasses. Therefore, don’t expect something heavy duty you can throw around in your car. I’ve worn these to several weddings and I still get compliments on them. But I also wear them on the beach so I’ve exposed them to plenty of danger. The fit is perfect for me, but I can understand some of the bad reviews for not fitting people but I would think that would be the case with all glasses ever made. These are not adjustable in anyway, so either they fit or they don’t. You really need to try these on prior to purchasing. With me, I knew they were perfect the first second I tried them on, but Sunglass Hut wanted about $50 more so I had no choice but to walk away and order online. Two cons that don’t take away stars: The case is garbage. It cracked in the cold winter by leaving them in my car. I purchased a hard clam shell case that is better in every way. The frame is so light and barely holds on that it is impossible to store them on top of your head, and putting them on top of a baseball cap is an instant drop. They fell off the top of my head onto the concrete at least 5 times now. But again, that’s because they are so light, I forget they are up there, and then I bend over to reach for a pocket in my golf bag, and bang! In conclusion, they are definitely not for everyone, but if you want undetectably light frames with a timeless and dressy look, these are a great choice if you are lucky enough to be a good fit for the frame shape. ORIGINAL REVIEW: So light weight. I feel like I need to be super careful with these and I'm trying to baby them. After having heavy Oakley Juliets for 10 years, this was a big change for me. I love them and I can barely feel them at all when worn. The lens color makes colors appear very natural with a just enough tint to be comfortable in the sunniest days. The size of the lens give me a huge field of view that I am just not used to. I can't believe I have been missing out on glasses like this all my life. Oakley Juliets have such a small field of view and a thick bar of a frame that it obstructs your vision. Not these Ray Bans. You have to strain your eyes pretty hard to see the frame. I'm sure these are not for everyone though. Try them out in the stores first because they do not have any sort of nose pad. The frame sits directly on your nose and they are not adjustable at all. They fit me perfectly and are very comfortable. My eyebrows lightly brush the lenses which causes oil to get on them, but I think this would be the case for me with any style. So the glasses themselves are 5 star. My only complaint is that I hate the case. The case totally sucks and it's impossible for one handed operation because the leather flap is sprung down very tight. I will be shopping for a clam shell style case that fits this. But don't let that change your mind on the glasses. They are top notch.

Everybody Get Loose!

Ray-Ban Men's Rb4179 Liteforce Square Sunglasses: I Love these glasses! They are very lightweight which means I won’t have trouble wearing them all day. Of course nice and clear which, of course, they’re RayBan. So, why only four stars? They don’t grab! I need either more spring in the stems or some gummy something on the earpieces or maybe a little more hook on the ear. They are so loose fitting ( and no, they’re not the wrong size - at least by the numbers). If I were to turn my head rapidly or even bend down to tie my shoe, these things are coming off. If I have them on top of my head, they’re coming off. I need to find a way to snug these up. I don’t want a smaller size. These are right for my face. I also don’t have this problem with any other of the Ray-Bans that I have. Love the look though!

Good, not Great - Glare and Weight a problem

These are good sunglasses, seem genuine. I haven't noticed any problems with the polarization peeling like others, however, I can't give them five stars, nor can I recommend, and here's why: 1) These are so light weight they don't stay on your head. Look down, and they fall off. Put them on your head, they slide off. That might not bother you if you use a tether, but I don't, so the material either needs to gain some weight, or hold "tighter" to the head. I've been told my noggin is enormous, so that can't be the problem. 2) I purchase sunglasses because they shade my eyes from the sun and reduce glare. These do the former well, but are worse than nothing at all at the latter. Due to the concave shape of the interior of the glasses AND the MIRROR FINISH on the INSIDE, these glasses essentially create GLARE INSIDE THE LENS, especially when the sun is overhead or behind you. In a convertible? Lots of "ghosting" glare that is really distracting. I actually haven't been wearing them in the car because it's so distracting. Don't buy ones with lenses mirrored on the inside, you'll never get used to it. Tip to sunglasses makers: try your product on before you sell it - these are way too flawed to be this expensive. On the upside, they are nice, high quality, and I've gained great fortune and fame because I wear them. Just not while driving... or stooping over... or moving quickly...

Great lightweight Ray-Bans

I originally bought a pair of these from Sunglass Hut, and after a year of pretty constant use in the Colorado sun they were still in great shape--no scratches or other issues. Unfortunately I made the mistake of taking them stand-up paddleboarding and they are now in about 30 feet of water. So I was happy to see the exact same pair here at Amazon (for 25% less than I paid originally). No blemishes or scratches, with case and lens cloth. These are great for everyday use, are nice and lightweight, polarized, and perfect for constant use. They aren't as grippy as wraparound sunglasses, and I feel like they tend to fog/sweat a bit at the tops (but I haven't used an anti-fog on them yet). But they clean easily, so I've been very happy with them. And they do fit into croakies, so I won't lose them in the water next time!

Be careful with the specifications

I had an RB4179 and it was broken, however, I was able to save the lenses. So I came to Amazon to buy a new frame with the idea in mind to use my original lenses in the new frame. I checked my frame model and it is RB4179 and I bought this new one, and it is also RB4179. Surprisingly my lenses do not fit in this frame. Taking a close look at my original frame it is written RB4179 601-S/9A 62*13 140 3P and the one I received it is RB4179 601/71 62*13 140 3N. YES, they are not the same, however, this ad just shows the first part of the model (RB4179) and it is as the same as mine. I think Amazon should take more care and adding more details in their ads, like all the model description instead of just the first 6 characters.

Excellent sunglasses with polarised lenses exactly what you would expect from RayBan. These sunglasses are ultra light weight and can be comfortably worn all day.
