Not Dye Free

I will simply say that I love this stuff dearly. I use it every day damp my hair and put some of this in get out the blow dryer and blow it right into my combover and following that I use their gel as well to just coat the top of the hair that is already sitting almost exactly how it needs to be and the gel will keep it in place and looking good all day. NOW--- the part I am very disappointed in are the ingredients. They could do better they really could to eliminate harmful ingredients. Lets take for example the dye. It does not need dye and I do not want to put dye on my skin that is now being absorbed unnecessarily into my body. This product could go without fancy coloring and be just as attractive if not more attractive to use and the quality will not lack by any means. Please get rid of not needed ingredients....

Not cloudy, will try the blue next

Just sharing that I received mine, ordered Dec 2022, and it arrived "clear." Read some reviews that they were having issues with it being cloudy on arrival. I am going to try the blue one next. While this doesn't smell bad, my barber uses what I thought was this, but I guess its the blue version. I loved the smell of it and this isn't the same. Still a good product so far.

Hair Essential

This product surpassed my expectations. I’ve used numerous tonics and sprays. While all have their attributes, this grooming tonic checks all boxes. It’s good for the scalp, leaves hair looking and feeling healthy, and serves as a solid pre-styler.. It’s also an impressive standalone product for a relaxed, flexible style. I have thick, heavy hair and this grooming tonic is the one essential product I won’t be without.

Great hairproduct, terrible bubblegum scent.

Works with or without blow drying to, respectively, give my hair a lovely matte or shiny look. Only issue is it smells like bubblegum. And it's a strong scent. I'll keep catching whiffs for ~6hrs. I know bubblegum is somehow in fashion in men's fragrances now, but this makes you smell like a 6 year old in a candy shop.

Amazing Tonic!

This is a great addition to your hair care products! Light viscosity and glides into hair. Apply to damp hair and blow dry for extra volume and control before applying your pomades or styling creams. This can also be used by itself (especially if you already have thick hair) if you don't like to cake product into your hair. It will add a light hold and control frizzies. I've always had fine straight hair so I use this as a base when I get out of the shower. I use this product along with quite a few of their water-based pomades and I absolutely love it! I also love the aesthetic that they are going for; that classic Barber shop feel. I'm not too crazy about the smell, but it's not offensive either. The fragrance does not give me that classic Barber shop smell. I think of barbershops and I think of the smell of talc or a soft mature man's cologne or aftershave. This smells like a fruit scent car-freshener. It's not offensive and it doesn't stink. It still smells clean, but by no means gives me that barber shop fragrance. And the fragrance dissipates after a short while anyway so I guess it doesn't matter too much. Amazing product!

Works great but…

A lot of complaints about the smell and while it isn’t the most pleasant; it not as bad as a lot of people make it seem. The smell goes away quickly too, my wife had noticed the smell in my hair after applying. If you’re sensitive to strong smells, you’re gonna want to avoid this. Now does it work; sure does and it works great. Gave my hair the wet look that I wanted. How wet you want your hair to look depends on how much water you use to dampen your hair. It handles sweat and wearing a hard hat for 8 hours but it’ll lose the wet look and turn into a messy hair kinda look. Overall I would buy it again but would hope for a version with a better smell. I’m the mean time I’ll just won’t over do it with just using a handful and applying cologne or aftershave when I walk out the door.

Wichtige Info zu den Inhaltsstoffen ⚠️

Der Geruch ist sagenhaft gut, eine Mischung aus Apfel und Minze. Man hat nach dem Haarewaschen und auftragen dieses Produktes sofort eine spürbare Leichtigkeit beim durchkämmen der Haare. Ich persönlich trage dieses es auf dem feuchten, nicht nassen Haar auf, föhne dieses anschließend zurecht und fixierte es dann noch mit einem Haarspray. Meine Haare sind dünn und sehr dicht, sprich: ich habe sehr viele Haare. Dieses Tonikum ist äußerst ergiebig, man sollte nur mit der Flasche etwas vorsichtig sein, da es schnell passiert, das viel zu viel hinausläuft. Die Flüssigkeit ist weder klebrig noch macht sie das Haar unnötig schwer. Nach dem föhnen riecht das ganze Badezimmer nach dem Tonic und die Haare halten fürs erste auch ganz gut. Wer mehr Halt benötigt, der sollte mit einem Haarspray etwas nachfixieren. ⚠️ Wichtige Information: Für diejenigen unter euch, die Wert auf natürliche oder überwiegend natürliche Inhaltsstoffe legen. In diesem Produkt werden unter anderem Silikone verwendet. Zwar ist bis heute noch nicht wirklich nachgewiesen das Silikone in irgendeiner Art und Weise schädlich sein sollen, außer vielleicht dass sich diese auf der Kopfhaut niederlegen und die Poren verstopfen. Die Menge scheint sich jedoch sehr in Grenzen zu halten, da meine Kopfhaut weder fettet noch übermäßig Talk bildet. ⚠️ Absolute Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite!

Brilliant for shaping and prestyling hair - work well for a sidepart and pompadour.

I have a sidepart pompadour hairstyle and cannot recommend this enough! Use a little splash and apply into wet hair will give a slightly sticky feel which will let you shape your hair. Works great with a blowdryer and gives mild hold with a matte finish. Doesn't make your hair feel greasy when dried and can then be used with other products to give more hold or shine. I use either Reuzel Clay Matte Pomade or Uppercut Matte and have to only use half as much when using the grooming tonic due to the shape is already sorted.

Part of my everyday routine

I switched barbers and she used this on my hair and I really liked it. Never heard of a hair tonic before this. Smells great. Squirt a bit in your palm, rub hands together briefly and run through damp hair. Blow dry into a rough style and it gives a slight hold and full, healthy look. You can then add whatever product you need depending on your style or just wear this tonic. I double it up with a styling powder and it works nicely for me

A must for any gent with a quiff. I have tried many products over the years.. mousse, sea salt spray, gels, and all it took was my barber to use this on me once and I was a fan! Use when blow drying to keep everything smooth, controlled and in place! No frizz or crazy looking volume, just sleek, soft hair. I always finish with hairspray for extra hold.

Reuzel grooming tonic makes your hair greasy

I bought this grooming tonic and the first thing I noticed was the strange smell of the ointment, not sure if it's supposed to smell like chemicals but it wasn't what I was expecting. The bottle was quite large but when I used the tonic I could not believe how just a small application made my hair extremely greasy. I contacted customer services to explain how surprised I was at the poor quality of the product but was shut down immediately with no offer to resolve my complaint. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this tonic :(
