Perfect match except…
Perfect match for my hot water heater except for the igniter wire connection was totally different than the original. Was able to cut and splice the new connector and swap with the old one.

This was the proper replacement for a newer Richmond water heater. Unfortunately the issue with the water heater was misdiagnosed so replaced this for nothing

Worked really great.
Mine took a crap in the weekend. No big box store carried this. So I had to wait till Monday. But, it works flawlessly. Very satisfied with the results.. it's been a couple months now n still going strong. I have the water heater from Menards. The Richardson? I think it's called? The electrical connector was slightly different, but I made it worked. All I had to do was crimp it slightly and it plugged in.

Everything fit except gasket which I didn’t need. Take my advice and blow air through pilot line before installing.

Great kit
This is the Kit you should really be buying if your thermocouple goes. I tried buying and replacing the just the thermocouple and it’s not practical. One, you have to open the access door so your gasket should be replaced. Two, getting the old one out the rubber/silicon “stopper” is not practical on a water heater old enough to need this change. The heat will have made it brittle and crack. This Kit is really nice in that the gasket is not set with double-sided tape, but actually uses magnets to hold it in place till the door is tightened. Very easy to apply and move into position. Very simple to change, just be sure to not over tighten the thermocouple or kink the pilot tube.

Easy and inexpensive
I had an HVAC guy tell me it was going to cost me $180 to replace the thermocouple and pilot. So I looked up the part number and found this unit for under $40. I was nervous about working around natural gas, but I found a video on You Tube that walked me through everything. Pretty simple. I was very careful and it still only took me about 45 minutes. Now my pilot light works and I saved $120.

Exact fit on my 2006 GE!
Had my GE water heater down to replace the dip tube. Once reassembled, I couldn't get the pilot to ignite. Given the age of the unit and through additional troubleshooting, it made since to replace the pilot assembly. I was amazed to find the part here on Amazon. Though not certain, the photo matchup made the purchase worth a try. Bingo. The unit as well as the gasket matched exactly. Lit up on the first try. Amazon delivered this appliance part same-day free with Prime which saved my family from a cold morning shower. I also would likely have had to call in a plumber to expedite repair. So... Amazon became indespensible today.
