Perfect size for carry on, rugged

This is rugged and the perfect size for carry on. I've used it along with a backpack to hold up to two weeks worth of clothing and essentials. The wheels work fine, and I haven't had any issues placing it in the overhead luggage racks.

Held up. But with issues.

I just got back from Europe where I used this as my carryon for a two leg flight with multiple train trips. I dragged it on and off multiple busses and through some of France's busiest metro stations. It made it back in one piece and nothing inside was damaged. Checked it for the flight home. It was really a good test. The single interior compartment is flexible and large and expands to hold a lot of stuff. Zipper, handle, wheels all held up. So five stars for that. However here are the issues: 1. No matter how I packed it, it seems front heavy and was thus prone to tipping over. My other carry on is a clam-shell type and doesn't have this problem. It may be inherent to the design. 2. I bought it in bright orange for visibility which worked but unfortunately any dirt really shows up and it came back looking pretty marked up. I think I will try to clean it and keep it for domestic travel and car trips. I will continue my search for the perfect affordable carry on and hope for better luck before our next trip abroad.

Not the sturdiest but it did the trick

I needed a new carry on that had 4 wheels not two as my old one put too much pressure on my elbow pulling it behind me. The handle is a little jiggly and where they put the wheels make it front heavy so it wants to fall forward if you just stand it in front of you. But for the price I can’t complain.

Very light weight (too light?)

Seems like a very good overall design. I'm a little worried about the strength of the materials (cloth, zipper). We'll see how long it will last. I measure this bag to be 22x9x13.5 inches.

Watch color description!

I ordered what I thought was a black bag (pictured in black with white trim) but apparently the color was labeled as purple… so I have a bright purple bag now. At least it’ll stand out…

Was alright

Bought this for my hand luggage and it was exactly the right size even when expanded the only thing is the wheels on it was a little stiff and for the majority going through the airport it was on 2 wheels behind me which is a bit pointless seeing as it has 4 wheels and it’s meant to be easier to push other than having to pull it

Short trip

Bought this for a short trip to Venice. Perfect size for the cabin on Easyjet. It withstood pouring rain and being dragged around the bridges and cobbles of Venice by teenage daughter with no trouble. The swivel wheels were very useful. Great item and great price. We look forward to using it again.

Not sturdyand not balanced even when not fully loaded.

I returned from my first journey with the suitcase only yesterday. I found that the handle was not sturdy and the suitcase itself was not balanced, with the result that it fell easily to one side even when not fully loaded. I was going to return it today, but I have just found out that the return date expired a few weeks ago, even before I embarked on the journey! Can you please make some allowance for me re the expiry date? The suitcase was used for one short return trip that ended yesterday. Thank you. Basil Ikede Addendum: I am willing to exchange the Rockland with the SwissGear SW30570 if the former can be returned.
