Not a high quality deck of cards

However, we use our Rook cards a lot and have gone through many many decks through the years. They work great and for the price it’s a definite yes to buying them. I’m not so sure that purchasing a more expensive deck of cards would make any difference.

Fun game

We love to use these cards for games. We really use them foe the game intended. We use them for a game named pounce. The previous cards I ha e purchased in the past have seemed to last a long time but these newer cards seem a little more flimsy (hence the 4 stars). I hope they hold up well to the hours of play we are going to put into them.

Rook has been around for decades and so is a classic that is always fun to play. Best played with four players.

Poor Quality

We have order a number of decks of rook cards on Amazon and also purchased locally. This is by far the poorest quality I have had. Within a few games the cards were starting to show wear. They are also slightly smaller than most cards and have a very flimsy, light feel to them. Will not be purchasing these cards again.

Basic Rook Game

Yes they are Rook cards, but they are made of thin, cheap cardstock which means they deteriorate very fast and water will always damage them. There are no official plastic or high-quality cards, so if you play Rook frequently, you will need to buy at least a deck or two of these a year to keep playing. I find they dent, tear and get frayed very easily and can come apart. However, the printing is high quality, and classic. Off-brand Rook cards will likely be more durable, but won't have the classic Rook card look that these do. They are inexpensive, but not durable. Just like most things these days...
