Love it!

This is an awesome big sunhat. It's very sturdy and gives you more sun protection with the big brim. I love the red too! Great hat for the upcoming summer!

Too tight

I have this hat in red- it's ribbon band was removable and it fit well. However this new one has a glued on padded ribbon that cheapens the look, and is much too tight for my head. Sending it back and will try another color in hopes of receiving the non- padded style band.

Good quality. Poor packaging and handling.

This hat appears to have thick, quality material and decent craftsmanship. Just slightly floppy so it holds in the position I put it in. It has an effortlessly chic vibe to it and looks much more expensive than what I paid. But I’m giving it 4 stars because the poor hat was crumpled up like a piece of trash when I pulled out it’s packaging. And I’m sure stuffing the package into my mailbox added to the creases I now have to massage out of the hat. Apparently, my porch just up the driveway was too far of a walk for the delivery guy.

Brim is too big

I love San Diego, hot Company, and all of their hats. However, when I ordered this one, it looks very different from the pictures the brown was way back almost cartoonish.

Perfect hat!

I bought a hat nearly identical to this hat (if not the same one) about 8 years ago but lost it and I have been in search of one that ticks all the boxes since then. I’m so happy I found this hat! I have very sensitive skin and melasma so I need a wide brim to cover my whole face, which this one does. I also need it to not be too floppy, otherwise you end up having the edge flop in front of your eyes and have to tip it back on your head (therefore not shading your face) or you look silly with the sides flopped down like an upside down taco on your head! This one has a stiff enough brim that it stays up but not so stiff that it looks weird. The band is simple, no bow, and this one has a way to tighten the inner brim of it’s too loose on your head. (It’s a bit snug on me but I have a very large head) . It works perfect for what I want and it’s so much more stylish than any other hat I’ve got!

fine enough for grandma of the bride

this hat made my outfit a showstopper as the guests took their places for the ceremony. two people stopped me afterward, asking where i got that hat. i proudly told them it was from the San Diego Hat Company. i expect there will be more orders soon. a divine topper for my gown.

Heavy

Nice hat - good quality and attractive but had to return as other reviewers noted it was quite heavy. However my sister in law bought the same hat and hers seems lighter.

Fits big

I have a bigger head but this is still too big on me! Otherwise it looks great, no problems with quality. Looks very elegant for vacation or a beach day.

Amazing product!

This hat was was exactly as advertised. Came well packaged, fit perfectly (you can adjust it for a slightly tighter fit), provided great shade from the sun.
