Game-changing

I do a lot of cooking and baking, and my boards slide all over the counter. I don't like using the wet towel trick because of the problems it can cause. I used this mat a couple hours after I got it to make the regular loaf of bread I bake every few days. That requires a 10-minute knead, which I do by hand because I enjoy it. For the first time ever, no matter how I tried to get that board to move after placing it on this mat, it didn't budge so much as a centimeter. And I really tried to get it to slip, too. Both my wooden and marble boards stayed put. I got the marble board to move about an inch toward me during a vigorous slap-and-fold knead, where you literally take the dough, stretch it a bit, and then slap it energetically down again on the marble. This aids in gluten development. The act of the slap portion caused the board to "skip" the tiniest bit, so when I pulled the dough up again the board moved very, very slightly in toward my body as I continued to knead. Since the board is actually coming up of the mat during that type of knead, it's not surprising that it moves, but it moved very, very little. And for the rest of the knead it didn't move at all. I have a feeling that marble board wouldn't have moved at all of it didn't have little feet on it that helped the board bounce just a wee bit during the slapping. I tried a few different ways to get the thing to slide, spin, or otherwise fail. I used it to cook a full meal. I couldn't get it to slip or spin even when I tried to force it, after reading reviews from people mentioning that clockwise spin. It didn't happen for me, and I baked, sliced, chopped, kneaded, and bashed on this thing for six solid hours. This mat is worth every single penny and has now become a vital part of my kitchen. I'm so pleased, it's ridiculous. No more dealing with runaway kitchen boards!

Awesome non slip

Awesome just what i was looking for to stop my cutting boards from slipping and sliding works great now it's safe to cut on my boards without worrying about cutting my self great item well worth the money

Very stable

Cutting boards that used to slide all over the counter don't move at all when using this! Just make sure the counter and the bottom of the cutting board are clean and you'll have a rock steady cutting surface.

Handy, Overlooked Item!

This cutting board mat is flat-out great. No more cutting board sliding around on the countertop while prepping meals. Works great! Very happy with this purchase.

Stops cutting board moving!!

This mat is fantastic. I have a large Boos Block cutting board, and it holds it perfectly still on top of my granite counter. Such a great product!

I didn't realize how much my cutting boards were sliding around on my granite counter tops until now. This mat works great with all my wooden cutting boards and they don't move at all. My smaller plastic cutting boards don't work as well because they don't have enough weight, but it still helps quite a bit.
