Worked well. Easy to install!
Needed to cap off a 1" copper line. I did not want to solder a cap on as it was in a tight area. Used this cap. Worked great. Working with Sharkbite, make sure the pipe cut is clean, no burrs, on the inside and out, and the results will be drip free for years. Significantly more expensive than a plain copper cap, but in limited spaces, the additional cost is well justified.

No plumber needed
The SharkBite 1/2 inch push cap is a great product for anyone looking for a quick and easy way to cap off their pipes. The push-fit design makes it incredibly easy to install, and the leak-proof seal ensures that there will be no leaks or drips. Additionally, the cap is made of durable materials and is built to last. Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use pipe cap.

Sharkbite has very consistent high quality plumbing parts
I like everything about these Sharkbite parts. I needed these to shutoff an area while I replace a bathtub. It's one of those tight areas that I have to cut a hole in a wall and crawl into. These help a lot so I can leave the water on in the house once I cut the lines and install these on the ends of the hot and cold water to the bathtub. Seller delivered quickly and packaged excellently!

easy to use
Trying to solder wet plumbing is really hard to do properly and using a torch runs the risk of setting your house on fire. These fittings solve those problems. The fittings are well made and easy to use, just make sure to follow directions. A clean cut (don't use a hack saw!) and a clean pipe is vital to prevent leaks. I watched some videos on-line to avoid making mistakes. The tools that they sell for de-burring the cut, marking the installation depth, and undoing the fitting if necessary don't cost very much and I highly recommend that you buy them.

No leaks, but on the pricey side.
Had I not needed to ensure no more leaks repairing the lines in a travel trailer, I may not have had to buy these. But after finding a couple leaks. I used one Sharkbite in one place after I found a couple more spots, I continued to use product because of simplicity and seems guaranteed not to leak. Going on 3 months....

Works for Emergencies
I hate this push on stuff, and don't trust it in regular use. Sweating hard copper is time tested. I keep a few of these around in 1/2in and 3/4in sizes in case something breaks, so we don't have to shut off the main, and can isolate a problem and still have water in the rest of the house till the hardware store is open in the morning. I bought two more to use downstream from a valve on plumbing for an outdoor sink. I needed an open stub to blow the water out in the winter, but wanted something to back up the valve in case it gets bumped. These are more practical for being removable than sweating a cap on and off, or getting pipe dope in the line with a male/female plug and fitting. I opened the valve to check, and they held, but they are not the primary thing holding back 75psi.

Don't wait until you regret it.
I bought a new manufactured home in 2000. Is very large, 2300 sf, I had been taking care of my grandma with alzheimer's for 15 years. When she passed, that area of house(was designed like a duplex, sort of), main house then mother in law area. When nobody lived in that area, we never really went to that area. Fast forward to 2020, had a leak under sink in main part of house, repaired with sharkbite. Then 2 months later a sink turn off leaked under kitchen sink, repaired that. One day floor was wet in laundry area, another sink turn off leaking. A few days ago another in another bathroom and when I turned water back on, is barely moving, so means I need to search for another leak. After around 10-14 years, replace all your connections(turn offs) under every sink and toilet or you will regret it. 19-20 years seems to be the time when they all fail at same time. I will need a new house now, damage is way more than I want to pay to repair.

Best invention ever!!
These are the best things since sliced bread (shark bites),easy to install just follow prep instructions. The price is cheaper than all the stuff needed to do it the old way(soldering etc.). I only buy the shark ???? bite brand they make plumbing a breeze, try for yourself and you'll be sold on them too.

Works as intended
A little pricey but good to have around if you need to put an end stop on a pipe. Just snaps on and can be used on a wet pipe.

Great for Demo Day
Cut your pipes, deburr, pop this badboy on and get on with your demo! The boys won't even have time to finish a beer before you're ready to turn the water back on and fill up that dumpster. No leaks.
