My Favorite Non-Jeans Pants Ever

I'm thick-waisted and short-waisted, and pants have always been a problem. Usually, if they fit through the hips and thighs, they're miserably tight in the waist. If they fit in the waist, I've got gobs of extra fabric in the crotch and thighs. Also, I almost always have to roll the waistband of slacks down a time or two to get the pants to end where I bend. These pants fit fabulously! Well, the top of the waistband folds over slightly when I sit (because I'm really really short-waisted), but it's minimal and better than any other work-appropriate pants I've ever worn. Also, these pants have a significantly higher rise in the back than in the front, which is perfect for figures like mine--they don't slide down in the back when I sit. I bought two pairs of this brand (in the ankle-length pant and the ladder crop) at a local plus-size boutique. After wearing them for a couple of days, I came online to see if I could find more here, and bought a pair in this style. I've been wearing them for a week, now, and I just ordered two more pair (both in the ankle-length style, only because Amazon is out of the colors I need next in this style in my size). Regarding sizing: In the boutique, I grabbed a pair of size 24, the size I usually have to get my pants in in order to fit my waist. The salesperson suggested I try a size down, so I did. She asked how the 22s fit, I said "Perfectly, everywhere", so she suggested I go down one more size, because this fabric does stretch with wearing. She was right--the 20s were snug when I first put them on but within 15 minutes of sitting and bending the fit was just right. Regarding length: I'm 5' 7" with long-ish legs. In the attached pictures, the khaki pants are the ankle pants and the olive pants are this style. They both end at my ankle.

Comfortable and Attractive. Runs very large.

These pants are very similar to the West Bound Park Avenue Ankle Pant, dressy casual with nearly yoga pant comfort in a heavier weight supportive fabric. I wear size 18/20 and first ordered these in 18w. They were a size and a half too large. I reordered in 16w and the fit is much better although still just a touch baggie in the front crotch area. I wear mostly longer tops so this doesn't bother me but I wonder if a regular size 16 instead of a 16w might fit better. I am 5'5" with proportionally longer legs. These pants are longer than ankle pants, hitting below my ankle bone. I think they would be more slimming if the waistband rise was about an inch higher to sit over the belly button. Curiously , these pants can be machine washed then tumbled dry on low. The West Bound pants can't be dried with heat. I'll update this review if laundering causes problems. 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up to 4 because Oliver in Amazon customer service arranged for me to get the smaller size at the same low Lightning Deal price as the larger pants.

They Run a Bit Large

I really like these. They are comfortable, but I should have ordered one size down. They fit larger in the hips and waist than I expected. They also don't fit as tightly at the ankles as I would have liked.

Wears like iron

Product is very nice, holds it shap0e and is perfect for work. Washes easily and has just the right amount of stretch. GREAT for heavy ladies because it does not over stretch out. For some people, fabric might be too coarse. But that is why it is very durable. These seem indestructible.

The PERFECT pant!

Love these pants! I'm 5'7" and have a hard time finding pants that are a good length. Tall are too long and most regular are too short. These are perfect! I'm about 215, I bought a 16w and they fit exactly how I like....loose enough to not be skin tight and not too loose to look gigantic. They do not have any pockets, and that's the ONLY flaw. Otherwise, I LOVE these pants!

Great, but one small caveat...

Just what I hoped for -- great fit, perfect slate-grey color, the normal slim-sation fabric that I love. My one reservation is that the first time I put them on I heard threads in the waistband snap, which seems like poor quality. They're still totally wearable, and I expect to enjoy them for a couple of years, assuming that not too many more threads pop.
