Quality and size

It is a lower quality than I thought, but the kids are enjoying it. That’s all that matters. Plus it is smaller than I expected.

Perfect for a toddler

It’s a good gift the only thing is if you have this placed against a wall you will have to adjust a little forward to open the hood (lid) of the grill which is okay but if the child is using they don’t understand this concept.

Easy to assemble.

Product was easy to assemble and sturdy. My 3 year old grandson loved it.

lightweight

we got this in about 3 or 4 days of ordering! our son loves the kitchen we got him at Christmas, he is ok with this grill - may like it more once he sees us using ours - overall, it is ok. the cover for us is fine, not dented plus stays on very well. thankful we didn't purchase the smaller grill - this one is also lightweight, moves easily - so would be fine to take with or move from indoors to outdoors very easily. the "condiments" for the hotdog do stack on to the hotdog with a "tab" but we still find them too small and have set them aside, would also be difficult for a little one to figure out how to assemble and keep together. he does try to "turn" the faucet - they should have made it "click" like the other knobs. However, overall it is simple without all the bells and whistles and is great for a little one's imagination!

Think Twice about Step2 Outdoor Grill's Play Potential

I bought the Step2 Fixin' Fun Outdoor Grill about a year after buying the Step2 Kitchen. What great toys are these! The kitchen was just way above and beyond any others we looked at - especially for the price. Knowing how much we loved the kitchen and how durable it had proven to be, the addition of the Outdoor Grill was a no-brainer. That said, the Outdoor Grill seems just a little smaller than we anticipated although our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren both enjoy it. It was easy to assemble but the unit is lighter than it appears and the kids learned quickly not to lean on or pull as it will fall over. The other thing about it that really doesn't make sense is the sink area with faucet. I would have much preferred a flat surface there to allow one or more children addtional work space, or even a second "burner" so that the pretend play could be expanded. As it is now, the sink is largely ignored and just a waste of space on the unit. Likewise the 'oven' beneath the grill is largely ignored. This is all in contrast to the Step2 Kitchen in which NOTHING is ignored and has everything you can imagine & the kids play with it all! Additionally, there are no sounds, clicking, or special effects like the kitchen has. Just kind of a let-down after we had such a marvelous experience with the first Step2 unit.

As far a grill sets go, this one is the best.

As far as play grill sets go, this is the best. I did a lot of research before buying. I wanted something big enough for 4 year old, but would also interest my 2 year old. Both love this. I like that it has an oven, sink, and burner in addition to the grill. This makes it pretty versatile. I opted to buy this over a full on kitchen, because the kitchens are pretty big in comparison. My kids have several large toys, so I decided I didn't want the full kitchen. We bought additional food and beverage play food to go with. My boys have a lot of fun with it. If you have the space, a full kitchen may be a better bet for some people. I recommend for a space saving "cooking/food" toy.

so happy with this purchase!

was super easy to assemble like 15 minutes tops for me and i was using a star screwdriver and a little elbow grease. i’m not an expert assembler by any means either. it came with one hotdog, one bun, clickable ketchup/mustard/relish, one plate, a ketchup and mustard bottle, one tong, and one spatula. it would be super easy to knock over because it is on the lightweight side, but as my son has been playing he hasn’t knocked it over at all. my son is 22 months and pretty tall for his age and it’s like the perfect size for him if that’s helpful at all.

Very cute. It's a little tall for my 14 month old but she will grow into. Just can't open lid. Only comments would be: wish was weighted so would fall over when she leans in one side. And was holding rain water had to drill drainage holes. Good for price. Need to buy more meat.

BBQ review

Seems to be cheaply made. The BBQ cover was bent in the box so now it doesn't fit right. Thought it made more noises. I think it's just ok.
