Great fit & color, so-so durability

My daughter loves the color and these fit true to size on length but narrow in width so a 12.5 wide worked for us. I bought these shoes at a significant discount (Amazon Warehouse), but my child likes them so much, I'm considering buying the next size, depending on durability. However, after a month of being worn 4-5 days a week, the velcro straps are fraying a bit. And I had to realign one of the insoles that got scrunched up -- they have sticky adhesive on the back so I don't think they're meant to come out. These are not huge problems, but it appears durability isn't going to be significantly better than the Champion shoes I've bought her at Payless. So definitely wouldn't pay $50 for these. Update: The non-removable insoles continue to slide around and scrunch up in the shoes -- because the adhesive on the backs of them collects sand. Not a good design. Velcro straps continue to fray. My daughter still likes wearing them, though. Second update: My kiddo loves these shoes. Wears them every single day now. Good grip on the kindergarten playground, I'm told. We're now in a 13 wide. Durability has been better than Payless Champion sneakers but not stellar -- the rubber on the toe also peels and tears after a few months. So I've watched prices and have purchased a second pair so that she'll have one pair that looks presentable.

Great shoe, runs a little big

We wanted a fun pair of play shoes to run around in and these are perfect for that. They light up but my daughter has to jump to get them to do it. We ordered a size 2.5 but they are too big. We just got her a pair of vans size 2.5 and her dr. Martens are 3 so I figured 2.5 would be fine but the fit is off. So I would say these run a little Big IMO. Overall happy with our purchase. She loves them.

So awesome

These shoes have the quality that you expect to find in a Stride Rite shoe. They fit perfect for a foot that is slightly wide. I purchased these because of the lights and because Stride Rite seems to be the only brand that fits. I personally think that any lights make a child more visible (to cars or whatever) and my little one loves them. The lights are bright... they seem much brighter than other lightup shoes that we've owned. I happen to love the shoes for that, but I could see how it could be too distracting for some parents. Oh, and complete strangers will comment on the shoes everywhere that you go. Year Later: the shoes have been worn almost daily. My little one out grew them but he still likes them so much that we ordered the same pair in the next size up.

Great value

At this age it seems like my kid’s shoes will either fit for a minute or for ages. There’s no predicting how long she will be in a size. That being said, I am looking for something that will last that is a good value. These shoes tick those boxes. My daughter has been wearing them for a few months and they hold up to her heavy play. I would highly recommend them.

Bright pink!

This was for a 5-year-old boy whose favorite color is hot pink. Was afraid the actual shoe would be pale compared to the picture. It wasn't... it's exactly the same bright saturated pink. Stride Rite has been a reliable brand for us for decades, and so I hope the quality is the same.

Cute, fun, bright shoe! My daughter wanted light up shoes and I wanted a quality sensible shoe for her, so this was a win win! She wears them daily, they washed well. I took a star away just because I think they’re a little heavy.

Wide width is great

I discovered this summer that my daughter has wide feet. There aren't a lot of wide kids shoes to chose from so when I found these pink light up shoes I figured I'd give them a try. They are perfect for her wide feet. I'm going to buy the next size up too so when her feet grow over night I'll have something for her.

Decent shoe for price.

Comfortable per my child. Lots of creasing on the toe box after 2 months of moderate wear so unsure how durable they are but she likes the light up aspect.
