Great boots for 1st walkers

Happy feet

I felt guilty after buying my toddler (cute) boots from the store for winter, as they had a slight heel. I know for me personally, heels hurt my feet and I know they’re bad for your feet. I felt bad enough that I decided to return them and went on the hunt for a flexible sole boot (flexible soles, or even no shoes at all, are the best for feet). It was near impossible! I decided to see if Stride Rite, a brand I knew to be more feet-friendly, had such a product. Tada! These were a good deal, too. I am not crazy on purple, and they’re definitely not as cute as the boots from the store. But so much better for foot health - definitely worth it. And they are still cute - just not the typical boot style. My toddler loves them. Update, year later: They were so great, I ordered another pair for this year. This time in a wide size, so there’s more room for toes to splay. Love the flexible, sensory sole. Easy to put on. Held up well. Thanks, Stride Rite! Pics are 7.5 purple and 9.5W gold.

Roomy in the foot but not the ankle

My daughter (17 months) LOVES these. She brings them to me to put on her even when we’re in the house. The only issue is that the ankles are a little snug. We are barely able to zip them up over her socks, and forget about tucking pants into them. She’s not even an overly chunky baby so if you have a chunkier babe, this is not the shoe unfortunately. She wears a 4.5 wide and the shoe is roomy, just not the ankle.

Not bad but very thin sole and narrow in the ankle

These boots aren’t bad but have few minuses: 1. The sole is very thin. Like extremely thin and i have noticed it that with many Stride rote shoes. You can probably week all the rocks/stones/unevenness with these. Plus I am conservative - my kids won’t wear flip flops in the winter even in California. Thin soles don’t provide warmth. 2. They are too narrow in the ankle! My toddler is chubby and i get her wide fit but what’s the point if it’s so narrow in the ankle - it even looks funny. 3. For a winter/fall weather it is more practical to have leather finish so you can wipe off the dirt etc. the look will be ruined very quickly

Great boot for casual use, not so tight around the ankles

The wrong size was shipped to us: a size 8 in a size 9 box . Will have to return. Aside from that, I swear by stride rite boots for my kids. Keep in mind these are less tight fitting around the ankles, so they are not as great for hiking as other types.

Cute, flexible

I almost returned these, thinking that they might chafe my toddler's ankle, but then the weather turned too cold for her Mary Janes so I gave these a try. I'm glad I didn't send then back. They're cute and very flexible in the sole, and my daughter has worn them every day. They're easy for her to put on and take off by herself. The suede surprisingly isn't a dirt magnet, though it's showing inevitable staining and wear from lots of playing outdoors.

Great but wish the zipper was on the inside.

Really love them with the exception of the zipper being outside of the foot. My 3yo has trouble putting them on herself and often chooses to put them on opposite feet to zip up on the inside of her feet. I love how durable they are.

Too tight to zip

I bought size 5.5 for my almost 14 month old daughter. They we about half a size too big (I wanted them this way so she could grow into them this fall/winter). Ther we cute and seemed ok quality BUT I could barely zip them up because they were too tight on her lower calf area. That was a deal breaker. Sent them back. I should add that my daughter is average size, she isn't big for her size.

Excelentes, duraderos, recomendables.

Compre este producto para el Clima de invierno. Funcionan perfecto. Se ponen fácil y el cierre es suave, pero no tanto como para que mi niña de 16 meses se lo quite. Son comodos y a mi nena le encanta traerlos puestos. Han durado el uso rudo de guarderia y areas de juegos y viajes avión. Los recomiendo totalmente.
