The Facts
Full Disclosure: I am sports medicine specialist. I read a lot of reviews and there seems to be confusion as to the nature of these socks. I bought more socks 10 years after my first pair. I literally forgot about them in my drawer and realized how great they are for extra cushioning. I would equate wearing these socks to one half insole of additional cushioning. There are variable descriptions of the socks being too short or small. These socks are actually tubular compression tube socks for the feet... not just extra padded sport socks. They fit around your entire foot like a band. The central band is thin and elastic like whereas the forefoot and heel have the extra padding. Therefore, they will have a tendency to contract back or shrink back to the midfoot when they are being used. For myself, I have size 11 normal width feet but I chose to buy the extra large because I want the padding to be slightly larger than the foot print so they end up covering my impact points when under load. As well, they do shrink a bit after washing unless you hand wash. In summary, these socks are like compression tubes for the feet. If you like it really like tight fitting socks that are low on the ankles, then follow the size chart. If you want them to have a more relaxed fit with generous coverage that remains ankle length, then go bigger. The overall quality seems the same as the original ones. Good luck. Doc

Best sock.
I bought these socks for the first time in 2010. I still have them and the ones I wore in dirt, mud, rubber boots, and so on are just now giving out. I’m ruff on my clothes and they have survived and then some. I buy them for my friends and family. Love these socks.

Thin on top, cushy on the bottom!
I love that the thickness is only under the toes and ball of my foot and under the heel. Having a high arch makes wearing thick socks difficult and too binding. No bind at all with these! Very comfortable.

These are my favorite socks! My disappointment was I only received 2 pair and it was supposed to be a package of 3.

Best socks ever!
These are hands down the best socks ever! I love wearing them when I walk or workout, but honestly they are so comfortable to wear anytime. They have great cushioning in them! I have tried many different brands of cushioning socks and keep coming back to these!

Beat running socks
Been wearing Thorlos Experia to run/workout in for close to 20 years. Got my husband on the bandwagon. I try to buy 3 or so pairs a year and get rid of old ones. But these socks hold up and are the most comfortable to me.

Pretty good but not for warm weather.
The socks state that they are low cushion but I would suggest if they’re actually high cushion. They can also be very hot on your feet.
