I love this watch!

I have been wearing Timex watches for more than 50 years. Remember John Cameron Swayze? This watch has gotten a lot of positive comments from friends. Nice "field watch" appearance and no one confuses me for a n astronaut with a wrist full of techno gadgets, bells, and whistle. I like that the day date window is easy to read at a gtolance. Like my other Timex watches, I expect this one will keep on ticking for a very long time. Still using original battery after 3+ years. ONLY concern is that the stem which is used to set day and date as well as time has become very sensitive. I have to be very carefull looking for the right pause point to change info in the D/D window. February is always a challenge. Probably doesn't help that I have chubby, shaky, 77 year old hands. And YES I would definately buy the Expedition Day/Date watch again!

Some of us need a reminder of the day and date. This watch has both and is easy to read, even at night with it's indigo lighting.

I like my Timex Expedition watch because I can wear it daily I like its versatility because the size is quite conservative 40mm in diameter which falls into the category of classic about 9 or 10mm thick which makes it imperceptible on my wrist it is very comfortable and uses a 20mm leather strap this will make my task easier when I want to play with various combinations because it is a standard size and I can find many ( a lot !!) The reading of the watch is quite easy and clear in any situation because the design is almost military, the hour indexes (numbers) are applied and that makes the watch look too good FASCINATES ME !!! In low light situations you can choose to turn on the INDIGLO function (it is a kind of luminosity mechanism that makes the dial of the watch light up and you can read the time more quickly) It has the day and date window located at 3 o'clock in white that contrasts very well with the color of the dial, which is like a cream color, giving it a timeless air. One detail that I don't like is the fact that the bezel is fixed!!!! It is not rotating .....????????‍♂️???? But neither do I consider that it is something of considerable relevance, I just would have liked one more function. What I particularly like is that the case is made of brass, a material that will acquire an interesting patina over time. On the subject of precision, it is something that I have to highlight because it is a Timex quartz movement which works wonderfully. (+/- ) 15 seconds per month so nothing to worry about In terms of hermeticism, I can say that this watch has a resistance of 100 meters, this works wonderfully in most day-to-day situations. All this in a watch under 50 bucks seriously....... ???????? I did not doubt it at any time from my humble opinion it is worth every penny it is a piece of a respected and valued brand in the watch industry (TIMEX) of good design and resistant for my day to day, which will undoubtedly provide me with the time in my wrist for many years. I recommend it 100% !!!!!!!!!

Inexpensive watch that checks off all the necessities.

I go through watches quite often, so it doesn't make sense to buy an expensive watch. However that being said it has been 5 or more years that I owned my other Timex before I wrecked it. This watch checks off all the features necessary, it tells time , date and seconds. All you need. I am happy with the purchase and dealing with Amazon. Thanks.

My ideal watch

I had an identical watch for about a decade. The old one is still working, but the now moth-eaten leather strap (worn in the tropics and in salt water) was replaced a couple of times during that decade. The Indiglo stopped working a couple of years ago and I couldn't get it fixed. When I saw that it is available at a good price I shopped around to replace it and compared it in the market of available watches. If you want day-date and waterproof to 100m with the awesome indiglo feature, this watch is unique and has its own niche at a reasonable price. So now I have a new one and am a very happy customer. Timex: Keep this model going forever.

Easy to read

I bought this watch to provide an uncluttered, easy to read day/date. It does all that. The lighting on the face is triggered by pressing the crown wheel. Very simple and very effective. The only disappointment is to adjust the day, it is necessary to keep winding the mechanism through 24hour periods. The instructions don't explain this, but Timex provide a generic set of on-line instructions which is where I discovered how to adjust the day. The bezel doesn't rotate, but this is not a problem for me. The leather strap is well made and complements the appearance of the watch. However I will change it for a more practical webbing strap. Pleased with my purchase.

Extremely effective.

Personal preference will be your own judge. As for my view, the watch is extremely effective. A simple single clock design. It's robust, reasonably elegant, and neither looks or feels cheap. All functions work well, however they are limited to day/date display, and a green glowing light. The leather strap is a quality item too. An ideal everyday watch for those who appreciate simple designs and ease of functionality.

Had this watch for seven years. Wore it every day in heavy construction. Changed strap twice but the watch itself kept perfect time until just last week,would recommend to anyone looking for tough watch.

Size matters

Pros: lightweight, simple to operate, reliable time keeping, waterproof, comfortable strap. Indigo face illumination. Cons: lightweight (personally I prefer a little more weighty watch), small (I have very thin wrists so I can get away with it but risks looking too small on some) For what it is, it seems a little pricey to me. Conclusion: overall a nice timepiece if you're looking for a subtle adventure style watch.
