Didn't use for counter seem

Didn't actually use this for countertop used it to bring a crack together on the acrylic cabin door on my boat it brought it close which was all I needed but the cups didn't get enough suction and slid the 41/2 might have worked better but I didn't think I we'd old have had enough room

Worked ok, but not quite strong enough to pull large pieces together. Only needed it for one seam.

I purchased these to seam a solid surface countertop with ...

I purchased these to seam a solid surface countertop with very small slabs and light weight. I first cleaned with denatured alcohol on the slabs and made sure that the pads were also clean. I pressed very hard to make sure there was a seal and when ratcheted they only slipped, I ended up hot gluing blocks and using my old bar clamps instead. They may work for something else, but I doubt it.
