Ok If You Need A Tote That Can Convert To A Backpack In An Emergency
Narrow uncomfortable straps and difficult snaps make this not ideal as a backpack. As a tote it is ok, very durable . I suppose it depends on individual needs. This one was big and stiff and did not help me organize like I needed it to. I settled for a different bag that is a just large bag with comfortable handles and a strap to go across my body. I needed a bag that opens wide with side pockets for water and two velcroe closure pockets on the front. I also needed it to have a suitcase handle pass through. I bought a large tote bag rganizer to organize insde which gave everything including a folding cane a secure home. This particular item was not as adaptable as the one I bought and seemed too bulky and poorly thought out. I really wanted a convertible bag and I tried several with wide padded straps that were more comfortable. Wide strapped convertible bags also are not perfect because the wider straps on all I tried did not detatch. After trying several convertibles I gave up on that style completely. I suggest looking at everyday larger tote bags and like me you will eventally find one with everything you need.

Great Bag for Travel
Great "Mom" Bag. While traveling abroad for almost 4 weeks this bag was my "go to" for the day trips. Front pocket: this got decorated with traveling pins was able to pierce the fabric easily without permenantly puncturing the fabric. This pocket held the itenary for the day, left interior pocket cell phone (Iphone 11) for easy access to take pictures, and right interior pocket held a backup battery with charging cord. Possible improvement would be for a two way zipper on front pocket for easier access but is good in current form. Main Pocket: Interior zip- held thin wallet and keys. Big Main compartment: 32oz Hydroflask, Small umbrella (for sun), thin zip-up (in case of chill/sunblock), Large bottle of Sunblock, and snacks. Great for securing/storing all things neccesary for the family for the entire day but not to large to feel like you are carrying a beach bag everywhere. Love the light colored interior this made it easy to find all the necessary things while on the go. I did not use the card slots as I carried a travel wallet. Straps: Love the length. The long adjustable was long enough to carry messenger style for both my husband and I, both of us are around 5'11" ~225lbs. I was able to easily shorten it for a tight to the body fit or keep it loose for ease of taking on/off. Short loops are great and was easily able to slip it onto my shoulder during crowded areas. Side water pocket: held our 24oz hydroflask easily or the 0.5 liter (non-insulated) that we got in Istanbul after our hydroflask was stolen. We learned to use a carabiner clip to connect the water bottle to the bag... Nothing else was taken from the bag. We tried to stay very aware of the people around us but traveling though the busy market/riding the buses in Athens is where it got lifted, but that is the only thing they were able to take as everything else was clipped shut. One downfall: the durability of the mesh fabric did not meet the long term wear test. This is the only part of the bag that has shown the constant use. Color: GREAT love the dark grey color did not show dirt/dust/stains. We went to lots of areas with a high amount of dust (the ancient ruins of Greece/Italy) and it did not show it at all. Overall: love the size and features and will continue to use it as a day bag.

I’m flight crew
First of all, I’m flight crew and I travel extensively. I’ve been looking for THE bag the last 12 years and I think I Found it with this travelon. The good: it’s simple, two main pockets. I can fit all my inflight work essentials in the large compartment, bottle of water, wallet, apron, inflight shoes, a book, make up bag, passports… it’s great. The small compartment fits the small things in an organized way. The straps are sturdy and a good length to be over my roller board. The bad: or not so bad. My only wish is that it had double zippers and a easy in and out compartment for my phone... but I can always use the side pocket. It’s a great investment for the price. Highly recommend. Mine has seen the world and still looks great and hasn’t ripped with all the heavy stuff I carry and my lifestyle. I highly recommend!

I wanted to love this purse
I'm a purse connoisseur and always on a quest for the perfect bag. I'm a commuter who carry my life during the week and in the weekend a mom. I bought this bag thinking it would be a weekend bag, but I liked it commuting too. It's not the perfect bag and lacks some things, but it has some really nice qualities too. I love the lock on the main compartment. Nice on a packed train or busy platform. I love the light colored interior, helps me find things fast. I love the water bottle pocket. I wish it had 2, but one is awesome. The pack pack converter is simple and quick. You can figure it out on the fly without watching a video or reading the instruction manual 5xs. I liked that it feels dressy enough for work, church, and mommy mode. Now what I hate. No exterior cell phone pockets. I have a work phone and personal phone, which I'm still getting used to. It has interior pockets, but I have 2 and finding the right one day on a train can be cumbersome. In the exterior pocket it has two pockets that are too big for the cell phones. They seem like they would be perfect sized for a mass market paperback but I haven't carried a novel in my purse for years. It doesn't have any extra compartments, which I could really use. You have to throw in a bunch of smaller bags to organize it well. Finally my biggest complaint is it feels like the tote straps were sewed wrong. They aren't sewed all the way to the top and the bag looks misshapen after a few weeks if not using the backpack feature only the tote straps.

No bottom loops to attach the strap to make it a back pack!
The entire reason I purchased this bag was to be able to utilize it as a backpack and to come to realize that there are no loops on the bottom of the bag to allow it to convert to a backpack is very disappointing!

I bought this bag for my upcoming trip. It is just the right size for me. Large enough for all my things and versatile. It looks really nice as well and secure for safety.
