Had a similar one for 25 years! Loved it.
Spring safety lock is waaaay too tight. Major problem closing these cutters. Otherwise sturdy and useful.

A little awkward to use at first, but great once I figured out how to use! High quality, easy to grip and smooth snipping...
I've been meaning to purchase a better quality nail clipper for some time...the little inexpensive ones that I seem to keep buying and misplacing really aren't very well made and seem to lose their edge quickly and give a jagged cut (or don't really cut through the nail at all and tear the nail). I've never actually seen one of this type before...I remember my Dad had an expensive manicure/pedicure set that he picked up on one of his overseas travels decades ago and it featured a couple of similar designs--they were very heavy and precisely made, but they were not as large as this one. I was a bit surprised when this arrived--it looks a little scary and powerful enough to belong with my husband's collection of hand tools! I did not realize the curve of the blade was so pronounced either; being a bit of a klutz, I was a bit wary of using it at first but it turned out to be fairly easy to use once I got the hang of it. I am embarrassed to say I wasn't exactly sure how to use this implement and I had to look it up online to see if the convex curve should be facing the nail (no) or away from the nail (yes) to help prevent injury because neither orientation looked quite right to me. The very ends of the curved portion don't really cut at all--not sure if that is how it is supposed to be, but the middle portion of the clippers is very sharp and these cut effortlessly. It certainly is efficient--my toenails are done in a few seconds (and my toes are still intact!) I have been impressed with the quality of other Tweezerman products that I own, so I'm sure these will last for years and years. I'm happy with my purchase and consider my money well spent.

didn’t know what a barrel spring was before ordering, but these snip HARD without much actuating pressure. keep out of reach of children lol

Best toenail clipper I have ever used! In keeping with Tweezerman quality
Very happy with this toenail clipper! Slight curve to the blade and texture on the grip allows me to align along the curve of my nails and makes easy work of ensuring smooth edges. Only need a bit of filing to smooth nail edge. Have bought a second pair to keep in my travel kit.

These are pretty good. Larger than most which helps with leverage. You need a strong grip and squeeze if your nails are as tough as mine. A rubberized grip would have been nice, hence the missi g star.

Well Worth the Money
I have always been in m pressed with the quality of Tweezerman and these have not let me down. Very sharp and easy to use. Highly recommended. Prompt postage from the seller and well packaged.

Impossible to open the safety mechanism
Couldn't open them so unusable. Even my husband who has really strong hands couldn't open them. You are supposed to squeeze the handles together then flip up the bar with a hook on it. We couldn't open them and we both have strong healthy hands!!! So disappointing from a leading brand

Not the Tweezerman standard or quality of old
These clippers seem to be made of high quality metal but they are useless. I have had other Tweezerman scissors fir years and until now thought the name was synonymous with quality. I would have returned them but it was far too difficult during the pandemic.

Great clippers for thick nails
These clippers are strong, sturdy and cut through thick toenails with ease. I’m knocking if a star as the finish is a little rough and not quite the quality of finish I would expect at this price and for this brand
