Bit tight

Fairly tight beanie, so it’s not the most comfortable. And I’m not sure why it recommends washing after each use, that feels excessive. That said, if you have a smaller head it’s probably fine

Nice light-medium weight beanie...

I have so many, too many beanies. It's time to sort through and give some away. This one, like the other TYR beanie I just received gets to de-throne one of my other ones that I don't like as well. One Size; always a little scary; see my stats below.... This is a standard, tighter, fine knit, fabric. It has a little less "give" than similar beanies that I have. It can be stretched out a bit, but holds more snugly to my head than the other TYR beanie I reviewed. The laundering instructions in the garment on the care tag are a bit interesting (paraphrasing): "hand wash after each use...hang dry" I won't be doing that. I guess if you're wearing this after a swim and your chlorinated hair is all in it, that might make sense, but for just daily wear, why would I wash it after every wear??? Also, those instructions in the garment conflict with what is on the product page which says: "machine wash". So, when mine gets washed, it will be in a lingerie bag washed cold in my machine, and yes, I will hang it dry. Stats: With the cuff in place, as the hat came out of the bag, this measures: 9" from the top in the center to the bottom of the cuff. The opening laid flat, slack (after I wore it a few times...) from side to side, on the inside, measures: 7.5" (so double that). This appears to be of quality materials and manufacturing. Warmth from a tighter sleeker fit..

This is a solid beanie- one appreciated by any needing a colder weather option that can stay in place while being active. This is done with a tighter close knit weave and fits as such. Although a thousand different styles- I find there are two types of beanies! x1 made for function and the other.. for fashion. Of course they have their similarities- this one is made for function! It is a good choice for any needing a hat for warmth! This will stay in place, creating heat with it’s tight knit weave and bc of that it’s worn close to the head.. this is helpful for those doing outdoor physical activity such as Snow removal, outdoor sporting events or activities- skiing, snowmobiling etc. This is not a fashion beanie created to wear like an accessory! Beanies today are trending to be worn like one would fashion a baseball cap.. these are made of a looser weave and worn 24/7 in any season. (see photos above to see trendy style!) they are worn indoors and out and put on to complete any outfit. This TYR cuffed knit beanie is made for business. It is a soft knit material that isn’t itchy.. although the tightness can cause excess compression around the head (tension headache) and the warmth produced can be a tad sweaty! Keep in mind this has branding tag smack in middle of forehead- for any that may not appreciate. Use caution while washing bc of shrinkage.. Only cold water and line dry!! This has a quality material and construction and if warmth is your need.. This shouldn’t disappoint. Hoping this info can help your decision- stay safe and warm!

Good fit, not soft enough

This fits good but it's not as soft as expected. The good thing is that it shouldn't pill from handling or washing. My husband says it keeps his ears warm and that's what matters to him since he has hair. ????

Soft, well made, warm

Fair discloser, I am a swim coach and mother to 5 competitive swimmers. I know that it is hard to get swimmers to wear these caps . . . at least female swimmers. This hat arrived bagged. The hat is sized nicely and has the right amount of stretch to be comfortable for my tweens and teens, as well as myself. The knit is tight and well made, there were no pulls, and the yarn is very soft. It seems to keep us warmer than the hats with a loose knit. I like the wide cuff as it allows you to adjust it a bit for height (like if they have the bun on the top of their head) but the leather tyr patch does limit how you can fold it up. I was unable to find any manufacturing flaws.

Well made

This beanie is made out of a very sturdy material. I'm almost tempted to call it thick, but that's not the correct word... It's not extremely thick. It's a bit stiffer in material though which lends to the sturdier feel. It is very well made though and I can tell that it will hold up well. I like it and wore it for a while, but found it tight. I've never had a beanie fit me tight at all. If anything, sometimes they fit me too loose. So, this was an odd issue and I'm not sure I like it because it goes a little past comfortable. However, if it is very windy and you need something that will stay put, this is it. If you look at the brand's items they are a sportswear company and I can definitely see this beanie staying put throughout a weight workout so I won't deduct any stars. It's definitely for your mom active days, not for lounging around.

Nicely made, dark gray looks good, a bit too tight.

Nice looking knit Bennie , and like the gray color, that is not too dark. My husband does not have much hair left, and his head gets cold in the winter. This Bennie keeps his head warm, but it’s a bit to tight and not as comfortable as he likes. But one of my younger grandkids loves this, and it’s comfortable for him, or my Granddaughter.

Well made! Warm!

I love this beanie! The beanie fits me great. It is snug fitting for me and stays in place, hasn't tried to come off. Even though its snug its also very comfy on! The beanie is warm, im able to cover my ears when its windy for some warmth and protection from the elements. The beanie has a premium feel and look. I like the thin knit pattern. The beanie is high quality and would make a great gift. I really like the beanie and its been keeping me nice and warm while looking good at the same time.

Warm and comfy!

Being in one of the coldest place in Canada, wearing this beanie sure is a life changer, especially on a -40 degrees celsius temperature.
