Awesome shorts!

These are unlike any other workout shorts I've tried, but I love them! They have a swimming trunk feel to them, I guess because TYR is a big swimming brand and they seem to be branching out into more general athletic wear. These short do not have a liner to replace your underwear. I have both these unlined shorts and a couple of pairs of the TYR shorts with a built in liner, and I've come to prefer the lined shorts because I like the way they feel. Also, if you wear boxer shorts they will likely show with these shorts because of the slit in the sides, which doesn't bother me but is something that might bother some people. These shorts are super comfy and feel great no matter how you're moving or stretching. I like the sleek look of the waistband. The ties tuck away on the inside, leaving a clean look on the outside. I got these in a size M, which is my usual size (32" waist), and the fit is absolutely perfect. These are pricey but have a really great fit, look, and feel. I'd absolutely buy more of these!

Comfortable shorts

My husband likes the dry tech style shorts and shirts and has several pairs that have seen better days. These shorts arrived quickly and he says this fit comfortable. He does not like it when they come with the mesh material inside and these do not have that. They have a good length along the thigh and have a draw string closure at the waist so he can adjust as necessary. These are pretty pricey and would be equivalent to a pair of shorts you would find for $30 at a department store.

kind of like swim trunks

Gave an almost identical review for the longer, lined versions. I prefer these. They seem like good quality shorts. The fabric and stitching quality seem good. I don't know that much about fabric types and was surprised when I received these that they feel like swim trunks. It's late in the season, so I didn't get to try them in hot weather or get them wet at all. The difference in length between the 7" and 9" versions is not that noticeable to me. I consider them both coming to about my knees. It has a zip pocket on the right side in addition to the regular pocket, presumably for a phone (or anything else you don't want falling out), and will fit a 6" phone no problem. There's even a little flap for the zipper to tuck under.

Good for Gym

These shorts are extremely comfortable and great for working out. The band is soft and not too tight so it doesn't rub or irritate skin. There is a string so you can adjust them to fit multiple sizes. The length comes to lower thigh and isn't too revealing. It also doesn't have mesh inside of it which is good for me since I find mesh uncomfortable. These are also loose fitting so you can easily move around, run, and jump in them.

good shorts

These shorts have a nice fit, good knee clearance for mobility. I also like the fabric, it is comfortable and breathable. I have had them for about a month now and they have held up well in the wash and no complaints, so far.

Great shorts that ventilate well

The Tyr shorts are made in PRC (china). The shorts are made from a thin fabric that is 54% Polyester (recycled), 32% polyester, and 14% spandex. I am a size 36 waist and the large fits me well. The thin fabric has a bit of a rustle/swish noise when running, but that's the nature of the material. I like the leg length and the shorts ventilate well. The drawstring keeps them in place on my jog/runs. I like these and recommend them. 5 stars

Versatile shorts

I ordered these for my fiancé. He said very light thin material, great for quick drying after sweaty workout or swimming. Fabric has minimal stretch, waistband and item overall is comfortable and good quality. Nice pockets and also has one zipper pocket. Fit as expected. Design/appearance looks great.
