Great for an outdoor bubbly cooler
This works great if you're sitting outside and can't or don't want to run into the frig to grab your bubbly bottle but certainly not meant for really lengthy periods and certainly not as cold as the frig gets a bottle. Make sure your bottle is chilled before putting into chilled cooler if you like your bubbly cold.

Keeps your pre-chilled Champagne icy cold after opening
These frozen Vacu Vin "jackets" for your champagne won't chill a warm bottle adequately, IMO, but they do a great job of keeping a chilled bottle nice and cold as you drink it. Nobody wants warm champagne and no messy ice bucket is necessary. If you're starting with room temperature champagne, put the bottle in the freezer for ONE hour to chill. Pay attention; set a timer. You don't want a mess in your freezer! You can then take the bottle out of the freezer, slip the Vacu Vin jacket onto it and enjoy well chilled glasses of bubbly for as long as the bottle lasts. We keep a couple of these coolers in the freezer in case a second bottle is necessary.

FABULOUS!
This is nice. Better than a wet, slippery bottle grabbed out of an ice bucket. Got the gold colored one as it befits the grandeur of champagne. Fits a bottle of champers but too big for white wine. It will keep your pre-chilled champs cold much longer...good for traveling or picnics. Or even in your garden if you don't want to get up and move. I suggest a champagne stopper to keep the bubbles where they should be...inside the bottle until they escape into your mouth. Many kinds of stoppers available on Amazon but the black one that twists will keep the contents from spilling and keep the bubbles fresher. However, it takes more energy to use that one...twisting on and off...so get the silver push on type that locks around the lip if you are not anticipating leftovers...an unlikely scenario. Put sleeve in freezer to chill the gel contents. The sleeve is open on the bottom. Pick the bottle up by the neck or the bottle will fall out the bottom and that horrendous faux pas is recognized as a tragedy in all four corners of the world....what with champagne bottles slipping down, crashing to the floor and causing gasps in everyone jumping up to save it. Such energy wasted. I am getting another one in another color. One bottle of champagne is NEVER enough. No matter who or how many.

It Ain't Mr Freeze
In my humble opinion, marketing this product as a way to chill a bottle in 5 mins is a bit of an overstatement. At best I would say this is appropriate for keeping a chill on a bottle on the table that you've pulled from the fridge. In our case a chilled bottle barely drops a degree before its gone, so it has not changed our life, but for the price I don't think you will disappointed. I've definitely made worse investments.

Great design Vacu Vin brand is TOP QUALITY
I love this thing. It looks good and gets bottles cold without the water from ice. Sometimes you're on the go and don't want to take a cooler with ice so this cooler does the trick and stays snug against the bottle. It is pretty snug for some champagnes, and i've found it works for wine bottles nicely as well. Sometimes I'll get a hot bottle from the store and stick it in this cooler when i stick it in the fridge so it cools down faster. I have found that there are little air holes around it to allow flexibility around the outside lining and the interior cooler pack. If this gets dunked in water, the water will get inside the holes. Then when you squeeze it water streams shoot out the sides. At first i thought i poked holes in it some how while washing it, but i didn't, its just made that way. I did not have to call Vacu Vin for this product, but i did on another one and had very great response and customer service from this company. I have been recommending them to my family and friends.

Great chiller
Every household should own one of these. Great for chilling a bottle of champagne or fizzy wine at short notice. I also use if I'm taking a bottle of wine to as friends dinner party as it keeps the wine chilled during travelling
