Attractive, but may have imperfections

It's an attractive and sturdy seeming toilet seat that is easy to install. The mahogany colour is good and just as expected; dark, almost black, but with hints of reddish brown (it isn't easy to photograph the colour at all),(the bumper things on the underside are a complimentary wine colour). And the metal parts seem good. But I was on the fence whether to return this item; the one I received has a bit of an unattractive join line down the middle, an imperfect finish with spots and a misty look to parts of the finish, and some very noticeable scratches on the top. Frankly, I cannot be bothered to return it and will instead try and make the best of it with home fixes. The scratches are the worst part, while the other issues are minor and can mostly be ignored. I'm not entirely dissatisfied, just be prepared that you might not to get a perfect toilet seat the first time. (after fixing up the scratches, it looks good, and none of the forementioned issues would be particularly noticeable unless actively studying the toilet seat, which would be an unusual hobby).
