Can't mount A small block chevey
Mounting plate will not mount to a small block chevey motor. After addapting hanger and getting motor mounted it leans away from stand so motor is not level. Lots of weld sledge had to be ground off so stand parts could fit proper.

OK, if you don't mind doing some extra work
VEVOR has never been the 'ultra premium' maker of tools but over the years I've been satisfied with their designs and their prices have always been way cheaper than the competition. They usually need some minor modifications during assembly to make them better, but it's never been anything too difficult. This particular engine stand, however, has some problems that I just can't correct without investing some substantial time. The bolts are metric grade 4.8 which seem to be the equivalent of a hardened peanut butter that strip way too easy during assembly. I don't apply excessive torque to any bolts but the hardware they included is just way too soft. Metric grade 4.8 crosses over to barely SAE Grade 2, which I would never use for an industrial assembly. All of the hardware in my shop is a minimum of Grade 5. I had to replace several bolts with my own hardware since there are no extras included. Now look at the tubing where the head mounts. The tube was fabricated with the holes for the alignment pin drilled before it was welded to the stand upright. They clocked the hole at about 1 o clock instead of straight up at 12 o clock before they welded it. I guess no one even cared enough to look at it before it was boxed up because, at a glance, it is very obviously wrong. Most of the welds looked like they came out of a toothpaste tube. Some were barely covering the joint they were intended to fuse together. They are not very confidence inspiring. Oh, did I mention the 4 blocks that attach the engine to the head were all missing? I have a request to VEVOR for replacements currently. We'll see. I can correct all of these problems but I intended on just bolting this together and be done, so this is not what I signed up for. The basic design of this stand is solid, but the execution of the assembly is pretty horrific. Combine this with missing and sub par hardware and maybe you should just keep looking for something else. I suppose I could return this, but who knows what the quality would be for the next one.

HORRIBLE PAINT, CRAPPY HARDWARE, I WANTED TO LOVE IT
When I saw this folding engine stand in orange, I was very excited and ordered it. Once it arrived and I opened the box, my excitement level dropped a bit. Once I assembled the stand, my excitement level was non-existent. I'm thankful that I didn't have to pay money for this stand. The first thing I noticed was the horrible paint job. The pieces are full of runs, bubbles and thin spots that you can see the black primer through. The second thing I noticed was the cheap, soft and weak hardware with odd size hexes. The bolts are metric although the hex sizes are in between sizes. The lock washers are a joke as well, they are like circles of wire that are too big in diameter for the bolts. IF I KEEP this stand, I will be replacing all the hardware. Once assembled I noticed all the other flaws in design and production. The hole for the pin on the leg that folds up looks like it was drilled after the fact with a dull drill bit. The hole is too large, has rough and sharp edges and was done after the paint was applied. The holes on the rotating mount for the engine are not in the proper positions so when you insert the small pin into the too large holes to lock it from turning, the mount is not level. It also doesn't have holes in the right spot to lock engines at 45 degrees or upside down either. Furthermore, when the leg is folded up, it flops around loose and makes the stand want to tip over. I really wanted to like this stand and thought it would be great but I was wrong. It is definitely not worth the nearly $150 price tag and I am giving it 2 stars.

Very strong and love that it folds up easy
The media could not be loaded. This is a very nice engine stand. Assembly is required. It took me about an hour to an assemble. This stand is very heavy duty. It is made from steel and all the welds on it look very good and strong. This has six lock out locations that you can rotate the motor to and and lock it out. So every 60° there is a hole to lock out the motor however you want to position it while working on it which I find useful. Also, the height of the engine stand is nice. It's not to high or to low so working on a motor while in it will allow you to stand straight up and not be bent over, killing your back (I'm 5'11"). It has four 3 1/2 inch caster wheels that have brakes on them. This is nice so that the stand won't roll away on you. It also has one 3 inch caster wheel in the center that takes on the weight when you fold the standard half. This allows you to roll it around and store it while folded in a smaller footprint. I love that this thing is foldable so I can get it out of the way when I'm not using it. For the money, I think the stand is a good value and I recommend it.

I got the 1500 lb stand for my son who is a mechanic. The assembly was simple. It's easy to maneuver and moves smoothly. It folds to conveniently store. It's very heavy duty and he's putting it to good use.
