Plastic, small, worthwhile!
I purchased both this product and the larger version as well. This product has the green rope with reflective strips. Useful for not tripping at night/being seen; not so useful for Leave No Trace camping. In all, they are smaller than you would think. They ARE plastic- you get what you pay for. Pictured next to a regular 12 oz. can. I have not tried this product out yet, but my intended use is for mosquito netting for my hammock. It should hold up well.

Makes setting up camp so much easier. Reflective lines and constant tension. Lightweight and durable at a great price. Definitely recommend.

These things are well-made and it seems like they'll do what they're supposed to do. However, 3mm is a pretty skinny cord (less than the tubular shoestrings on a typical workboot, for example.) That can be an issue not so much of strength but of how strong the cord _looks_ and/or how comfortably it pulls tight. Also, be aware that the units here are the same size (about 1-5/8" tall by 7/8" wide) as those ofNite Ize NCJS-01-2R2 CamJam Cord Tightener, Small, 2-Pack so if you don't need the cord get the 2R2's instead.

This is great for me because i don't have to finagle any ...
Design flaw for some but solution for others. Some other reviews say that there's a design flaw with how the string/chord stays in the cam. For me it's a solution to get a quick release to the taught side. a quick pull to the side and off it comes. This is great for me because i don't have to finagle any special hooks or anything to get the chord to come loose. I can see how others see it as a problem but I see it as a solution compared to having to use ur fingers to loosen the cam in the even u need to give your line some slack or need to release anything u have hooked on. to each their own but it does have some limitations. I do wish they had a weight rating on these.

Neat little device to keep on hand
Neat little device! It works well at doing what it says it will do, and these are small and cheap enough to throw in the bottom of a bag, or glove box, and forget about them until you have a need. They're small and convenient devices for securing that extra anything you may have laying about. These probably aren't going to be an everyday work horse, but for that extra item you secured down, these will fit the bill perfectly. I got these when we were moving, and they turned up useful throughout the moving week. On the car, in the house, transporting stuff with the dollies... It's all good!

I like these
I bought a few of these and I really like these. They come with a good amount of cord so there is no need to purchase more. I plan on using these for camping guy lines for tent, canopy, and anything else. They are pretty strong for being plastic. I wasn't sure but their strength surprises me. I believe the rope has reflective strands in it making it easy to see at night so you don't trip and take down the camp at 3am when you gotta pee. I only give it 4 stars because I haven't field tested it. I would recommend any Nite Ize products.

Nice addition to a camping pack. The cord is a bit thin but seems durable and reflective. I bought it to use with a small mylar tent. Seems like it will get the job done. I’m happy with it.

Solves a problem but could be better
I use this to keep my bikes’ wheels from spinning when hooked jump to my hitch bike rack. For simple tasks like this, it works well. I do have a few complaints though. The setup is almost too lightweight, and the cord frequently comes loose from the clips unless it is pulled tightly and the extra cord is kept in the correct direction to prevent it from slipping out of the friction grip. It’s also very easy to drop a clip as they will fall completely off of the cord when removing.

Does what it says on the tin!
I was looking for something to secure a wheelchair in the boot of my car, not sure if I quite fit in to Nite Ize's usual target demographic. It works, it's quick and easy to secure. Downsides, it's a bit small and fiddly to unclip and if the cord comes out it's a pain to thread it back through the hole. That said I'm a bit uncoordinated so this may not be completely fair criticism.

Very versatile, very impressive little setup
I have now purchased two of these - they are the smaller of similar products but more than ample for everyday use. I have found them very versatile for a number of uses, whether it's securing items to my cycle rack, holding goods in place in the back of the car or providing additional capacity to my back pack. The mechanism makes them very easy to use and is very secure - a must have for those who must have!
