Practical Art

I got it to create a divider between two sides of a home. My contractor framed it to completely enclose the doorway. Not yet painted (white) in picture, but once it is I will post completed project. It's just lovely, tons of compliments on the way the sun shines through the glass.

Lovely piece, colors a bit off, hangs awkwardly

Well, the first one I received was cracked on the edge, and spilled crushed glass out onto the floor when I opened it. Amazon sent a replacement out right away. It is a lovely piece, and is basically as described, though the colors were a little bit off from the photo (edge is much more teal than green, and doesn't really have any of the royal blue spots for the fill-ins, plus the center flower beads are a bright red as opposed to a more muted color.) The only real issue I have is that the brackets included for hanging are flat. This doesn't really work when hanging inside a curved window. We had to mount it to the ceiling just in front of the window, which looks a little hokey. May eventually try to get some eye hooks or something to put inside the window so it can be hung properly.

Perfect fit!

Fit perfectly in my half moon window. The product is much more thin than I expected for the price but it is better because it is lighter and easier to hang. I love it so much!!!! Great alternative to those ugly white fan shades.

GORGEOUS

This is a gorgeous piece! It’s packaged perfectly so there is no risk of it being cracked or broken. Installation was easy! I am a 20 year old college girl and I installed this on my own with zero problems! ITS HUGE!!! It’s the size of an actual window it’s amazing! 12/10 I would buy this again if I ever need another!

Happily surprised by this stained glass piece. It just arrived in perfect condition. Amazing packing job by Amazon. Not only in it's own special packing ,but double boxed by Amazon. Now the colors are more vivid and vibrant than the online photo. It's a thing of beauty . Can't stop looking at it Thank you so much. I just ordered a second one !

so you have something pretty to look at when you're doing dishes

Very pretty-we hung it over our kitchen area as there was a "window" as it use to be an exterior wall, but my husband took the screen porch and made it into a den, so we just hung this lovely stained glass panel with a frame around it, so you have something pretty to look at when you're doing dishes, thank you!

‘More than 130 hand-cut pieces of authentic art glass and 2 cabochons encased in glazier's lead’ ※ DESIGN TOSCANO ※ TIFFANY-STYLE STAINED GLASS WINDOW ※ DESIGN : 'HERALDIC SHIELD' ※ SHAPE : DEMI-LUNE (HALF MOON) PRODUCT REF: TF28037 COLOUR : MULTI Having always admired the arched stained-glass window above the impressive front doorway of a senior relative’s abode, this was something I couldn’t let pass by. Unfortunately, now I have the item to hand, it is a smidgen too wide to fit over the arched top of my (modern) front door, so it is hanging in an east-facing patio doorway to catch the morning sunshine and really looks the part, with the colours gently twinkling in the change of light and I love it. The quality piece came impeccably packed for safe transit in an enormous outer carton, well packed out with crumpled paper. Inside is a large, plain cardboard box, which is lined with corrugated cardboard & a polystyrene-type material, with the brackets & chain packed separately in a cut-out. The glass, which has been oiled, is further protected in a plastic type bag. Once released, the rustic-looking item weighs around 1.25 kg. It comes complete with an informative leaflet that includes a cleaning guide (also available as a PDF online). It measures around 61 cm across x 28 cm high. The matte-finish BLACK frame is approx 0.5 cm thick. Each quality, shiny BLACK chain is around 44.5 cm in length. The mounting brackets measure 8 cm x 1.5 cm. These have two screw holes pre-drilled. No screws are provided. The sturdy outer frame has elegant, scroll-shaped hanging brackets. With a definite front & back, defined by the two shiny RED gems being of rounded finish on one side, the window can hang in two formats, using the supplied black chains complete with snap hooks. Either a single chain can be hooked over a central point, optionally using one of the wall brackets supplied, or it can be hung using two chains to hang vertically using two wall brackets. The wall brackets have the same scroll-shaped design so complementing the window frame itself. The shield-shaped centrepiece can be painted on, to personalise, but I have not attempted this yet: Manufacturer Detail: ???? 'Don't rest on your laurels, proudly display family pride in your home with this rare classic demi-lune shaped stained glass window. Anchored by a Heraldic Shield of sky blue glass that you can personalize by painting a monogram on the glass shield, this classic window is a grandee achievement. With an artisan's eye, each piece of Design Toscano's distinct high quality art glass is hand-cut, copper-foiled, and individually soldered in glazier's lead, taking over two full days to create. Our exclusive work of high quality stained glass art has the look of a fine period antique. Scroll brackets and chains are included for window hanging. Stunning design made of real glass and copper joined.

This glass thankfully arrived undamaged though it had slipped through some of the packaging which was polystyrene the outer card held it within. See photo. The design is absolutely stunning, like jewels embedded in an ornate landscape which reminded me of a church window. This would be suited to being fitting in a door, on the wall, or in a window as I have used mine for. It comes with 2 sets of chains and attachments for it if needed but they are not needed if simply placed on a windowsill. The copper used to join the glass is covered by a black resin or similar so it appears like old leaded stained glass. The glass is not just different colours but also texture and surface. So the round jewels are rounded on one side, and some glass is bumpy. The piece seems as sturdy as conventional stained glass certainly for interior purposes, as I own several stained glass pieces already and used to make my own also. This would make a fabulous addition to any home.
