Form meets function

Really beautiful — much more so in person. Wanted a stained glass piece to provide some privacy as well as a diffuser for the early morning sun streaming in at a long narrow window next to the front door. Functions perfectly in both regards while also allowing some of that light to filter through just enough to enhance the colors in the piece. The dimensions of the piece fit the window perfectly and found it very easy to mount. All in all, couldn’t be more pleased and impressed! Great purchase!!

Sort of expensive but has appeal. We bought 4 of them to flank our front door. I am still working on the project. I have it ruffed in & i can assure you it will be very impressive. Looks like a sun filled vineyard. I made them a pair & put them side to side in 2 18 inch windows. I covered the rest of the two windows with wood. Prior to the project the windows were covered with drapes so we get more sun than we had with the drapes.

Super Great Price on this Stained Glass Window!

I was shocked to see how low the price was on this window considering it is over 2 times the price on other websites! I give Amazon 5 plus stars for the way they packed the original box in a larger box to avoid any chance of damage to the glass. As for the window itself, it is a super great deal for the money -- I only gave it 4 stars because I had hoped it would have more vibrant colors in person -- but overall I can't complain! I noticed one reviewer referred to the material as acrylic or plexiglass -- unless they received a different product than I did -- mine is 100% stained glass soldered together. I've collected stained glass for over 20 years, and you cannot solder plexiglass or acrylic pieces together because they will melt from the heat of the solder. Stained glass has a different feel and if you tap on it, it doesn't sound like regular sheets of glass. Once you copper foil and solder pieces of glass together the tapping sound isn't the same sound you get tapping on a sheet of glass.

I’m sorry if other people are getting a different product from what I received. What I got was a flimsy piece of decorative glass, if it’s even glass. I couldn’t imagine using it to replace a window. In my opinion, the packaging was worth more, very impressive. So it arrived in the same condition it left with. It is beautiful and I plan to frame it and use it indoors, so for what I want, it should be fine. I’m hoping the frame will reinforce it as I’ve never been able to bend a stained glass piece before. It is very thin. It will be far above immediate eyesight so the flaws that others point out shouldn’t be an issue, as they were correct. It is over priced for what you get and is even cheaper on their direct site, minus shipping. The soldering is sloppy, the “glass” is thinner than anything I’ve ever seen, it is very opaque. That being said, it will be fine for what I wanted it for and will be replaced when I find something better. The design isn’t theirs and will always be beautiful. As for the people who used them as side lights, please get a security system and a dog! You can push through this with the ease of a spider web. All being said, if you are just using this as a beautiful decorative piece, then you’re gonna be fine. If you’ve never owned a quality piece of stained glass, you won’t be disappointed. I just cannot believe that there are people who are using this as a structural piece of their home!

This is real stained glass not plastic

The window is a very nice selection of colors and is very attractive. I live in a 120 year old house with stained glass so I know what quality stained glass is. This piece is heavy and does not seem flimsy as some have complained. It is, after all, made of dozens of individual pieces of glass held together by lead and solder. The came joins between the glass pieces are not always even like they are in my 120 year old windows but they are quite acceptable. If you want a genuine antique stained glass window similar to this (assuming you could find one) you would pay at least four times the price and if you want more than one matching window that would be truly difficult to find. Very satisfied with the quality and appearance. Will install it in the sitting area of my covered porch.

Beautifully made Wrong Colors

I bought this stained glass at two different times.To much of a hassle to return 1st one so kept the 1st one though colors were totally off from one shown on Amazon Were pinks mauves &earthy greens.All very soft blends.When it came a price we stretched to buy l reordered foolishly hoping we would get the red,royal blue,yellow &green shown.. Perfect for our window...when we opened the 2nd one it was identical to the 1st Colors that are totally wrong for our decor.

Absolutely beautiful. Fits my side light window next to my front door perfectly. Very well made. Lovely black scalped loops at the top and hanging chains included. The only thing you need is a couple of strong screws as this window is heavy. I was worried it may swing when people go in and out my front door but because of it's weight it barely moves. Excellent. The colours, as seen on my computer are fairly accurate other than the yellow. On my panel the yellow is quite strong and not as opaque. I would say that is the only negative. It comes extremely well packaged.
