Flange is cheap and doesn't fit this shower arm.

The shower arm looked fine, the matte black finish was good. However, the flange was very cheap, made of thin sheet metal, and did not fit snugly at all (like it is supposed to) - in fact, there was like a 1/16" gap (around the opening in the flange) when the flange is slid into place. This allows the flange to just swing freely, and it probably wouldn't even stay against the shower wall without some goop to hold it in place.

Works great but swapped out the round for square flange. Pipe is great. Flange is thin but works.

A friend took a shower in my home and broke off the shower head. I got this part so he could repair what he had snapped off.

Came with a very tiny scratch which allows the brass to show through.

Came with a scratch near the center of the escutcheon. Don't have time to return it and wait for another, so I'm just trying to hide the imperfection.

Don't buy!!!

This is the worst purchase ever, I would give a negative score if it is available. I had this shower arm professionally installed, but the arm is leaking at the connection with the shower head. No matter how much Teflon tape or pipe sealant I used. Puzzled, I took it off. Look at the red circle in the picture, do you see the small tip? The pipe is not even at the connection, that's why it's always leaking, this sharp uneven edge has even damage the rubber washer inside the shower head! Absolutely piece of garbage! Wasted 150 dollars for the plumber and now I need to get another shower arm!

Won't thread into my drop ear fittings

I bought two of these to install into the shower I just built. Neither will thread into the drop ear fittings that are in the wall. Other 1/2" male pipe threads screw right in, but not these shower arms. These shower arms get one revolution and then they quit. Either the powder coating on the threads makes them out of tolerance, or the threads are not cut correctly. Either way, I'm forced to throw these in the junk parts pile because I'm past the return window and Westbrass won't respond to my emails or website inquiries. I also don't like the flange on these... they don't seal against the pipe and they are super flimsy.

Cheap painted arm

It's a matte black paint over brushed nickel. It scratches during install. Dont waste your time and money.

Thread does not fit

Product looked ok when we received it but when trying to fit into the receiving male ips part in the shower wall the threads barely started, as in not even half a thread and I tried both ends, this means there is no way it will thread in far enough to seal and cannot be forced in without doing damage. I have several other 1/2 inch ips fittings and they all fit correctly. Return date has expired as job was on hold for a while. As a machinist myself and very familiar with threads I am concerned about what type of standards westbrass uses. Looks like I either have to buy a different brand or find myself a die and tap set to clean this up. Bob
