Too expensive but awesome to have!

I took off one star because why must I pay $17 for 2 brackets, 4 little screws and some foam pad strips? However, it was easy to install and freed up so much space for my laundry room makeover that it is worth it. It comes with little plastic pieces to slide over the area to mount the bracket to (maybe to reduce friction or something?) but I could not get the holes in the bracket to line up with the holes in the washing machine if I used them so I tossed them. Seems to work just fine.

Overpriced, but good

Product fit perfect and was easy to install. The kit is necessary to safely stack your washer & drier, but was way overpriced for what you get in the box. Four 3-foot strips of foam with a sticky strip, two tiny brackets, and 4 sheet metal screws is what you get. Whirlpool must think it's worth $20 - $30 just to have the option to stack them. Overall, I guess it was worth the $20 to gain 10 SF of floor space. Keep in mind that you may need longer hoses, drier duct, or a closer gas or electric outlet if you previously had the washer and drier side by side. My wife is on the short side and I would guess the drier would be too high for her if one of those optional storage drawer risers were under the washer.

It is exactly what it is supposed to be, although it is annoying and ridiculous that it has to be purchased separately. Someone complained that he placed the bumper strips on top of the washer, underneath the dryer's feet, and that doing so made the dryer more prone to slipping, but that's because that's not what they're for. The bumper strips go along the back edges of the washer (or the sides) so that it doesn't ruin paint if it is up against a wall (that's what the instructions say). I installed these as the instructions provide and the dryer is rock-solid on top of the washer, even when the thing looks like it's having conniptions during a super-heavy cycle.

Easy to install with Whirlpool Duet Sport

This worked great for stacking my Whirlpool Duet Sport washer and dryer set. The instructions that came with it were very clear and easy to understand. The installation process involves leveling the washer, laying the dryer on its side, removing the feet, sticking the four black foam strips to it, stacking the units and attaching the clips. It’s pretty straight-forward but will definitely require two people. Perfect!

I recently bought a plain old "Whirlpool White" front loading washer and dryer. I was expecting them to be delivered and installed, but I knew I would have to provide a stacking kit for the installation. I had no idea which kit to get. This kit says it is for the "Whirlpool Duet Sport" and the "Maytag Epic Z" washers and dryers. So I am sure you can understand why I was worried it wouldn't work for my particular washer and dryer. Long story short, it worked perfectly! Easy peasy lemon squeezy! The delivery men had the washer and dryer stacked in no time. And it has held together great. I guess with something like this, it either works or it doesn't. It does, and I was happy it worked with my washer and dryer.

Not the right part (my mistake) but I made it work

I purchased this part on the advice of a Home Depot employee (probably should have been suspect form the beginning) for my Maytag 3000 series washer/dryer. This kit is made for the 2000 series but not the 3000. Further research indicated that the part I needed was no longer in production. The screw holes lined up but the clips were too wide for the slots in the back of the dryer so I ended up carefully measuring and grinding down the brackets to the correct width with an angle grinder. The modified clips work great and hold the washer and dryer together very securely. I'm not sure if it's due to the new bathroom floor or the stacking, but the spin cycle is noticeably smoother that when the washing machine was not stacked.

Cheap disappointing product

This is a product that absolutely should have been included with the Whirlpool Duet Sport Washer/Dryer set. I think it is ridiculous that the company did not include it. Especially once I received it and saw how cheap of an item it is! It is literally just double sided cushioned tape and a couple of brackets! When I originally bought the set I stored them side x side so this was not an issue but when I moved into a smaller house, I needed to stack them. I ordered from Amazon, shipped quickly. Was just so shocked to see that this was just the 4 strips of double sided cushioned tape and a couple of brackets for the price they are charging, seems crazy. Whirlpool can do better. I left them stacked for 2 years. The black tape would work its way out from between the washer/dryer and I would have to push it back in. So basically, it's a cheaply made product, it's overcharged and it should be included for free with purchase of the washer/dryer set because so many people do stack these types of sets. Really disappointing. I won't be buying from Whirlpool again.

Gotta love OEM tools

These fit perfectly on my washer and dryer. I was able to get my dryer up on my washer on my own (very light, and VERY bulky. Do not recommend - find help!). Once I had the dryer in place, it took me about 5 minutes to install. The strips look very thin, but are actually perfect for the job.

Works as expected

Delivered very quickly, easy to install (aside from lifting the actual dryer) and works well. in the event of excessive vibrations, additional padding can be placed between the washer and dryer.

OEM... works perfectly

We recently completed a renovation and our idiot designer actually through the stacking hooks out as "he didn't know what they were". I am pleased to report that these are OEM replacements and perk perfectly on your Maytag. The anti-vibration tape is exactly like that originally installed.
