Works well

These reduce metallic taste, and last much longer for us than recommended. But after replacing them, we need to run a few gallons through them over 3 days to get the air bubbles out. And then it's a few more days before a funny taste disappears.

it's a 3 part kit

this is 2 filters and a battery. my first kit had a working battery. the second kit seems like the battery was too old. my faucet did not light up.

Clean water

For drinking or cooking we need clean clear water with the Impurities removed. This filter does the job. The one complaint I have is water flow, it takes a while to fill a quart jar which is the main complaint in a lot of the reviews. I have managed to increase the flow by slightly increasing the size of one of the filters. I believe it's the filter that has yellow markings. The tip looked like it was not clear so I took a drill bit that we the same size or the next size up and manually cleaned up the opening. It made a difference, increasing the size too much may reduce the quality of the water you are collecting or using.

Great Tasting Water from this Filter

This is my second purchase of these filters and recommend these for ease of installation and quality of water produced. I use the filters every day and notice how much chlorine is reduced. I trust that the contaminants are reduced by the independent test performed on these. However, I can immediately taste how chlorinated the water is when I don't use it. I know it is a good thing to have chlorine as a disinfectant, but do not enjoy smelling or tasting it in my water I also have a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen ( these are installed in the basement sink) and I do notice the difference between the RO filter and this one. Let's get it straight, these cannot compare to RO filtration, but they do produce high-quality, great tasting water without the tank, pressurization, and filter maintenance of my RO system. I would actually state that the taste is 98% as good as my RO system. The ease of installation for these filters are also nice. Just twist and pull out the old and push and turn to install the new. There is some water that will leak out when installing, so have a bath towel nearby.

Very very slow flow

I bought 3 sets of these and the membranes to replace the filters on my north star RO system. I can't sugar coat anything here, the filters flow way too slow. With these installed on my system, they didn't even fill the 3 gallon tank in 12 hours. Then I took the tubing off and put it in the drain and wanted to see what kind of flow I was getting out of the system. It was once again, painfully slow. I put my old ecopure filters on that I ran for a year, purchased from home depot. I had easily twice the flow output from my year old filters. I can't comment on the fishy taste people were reviewing, I never ran them long enough to even try the water. Not going to sell the farm to buy expensive home depot filters, not going to let my clothes go out of style waiting for these to make water. Bought a new system I know will work.

Mala calidad

Compre este producto x años en lowes y nunca tuve problema, uno de los filtros que me enviaron tiraba agua, no se que pasaría me gustaría saber si los filtros son originales, se veían igualitos pero la calidad no es igual

Hardly worked at filtering water . Ditched them . The labels were just slightly different
