Quality Static Target!!
Product: This is a great static target for putting on a target stand. I have put many rounds (5.56, 308, 300blk, 30-06, 9mm, 45ACP) on this target and it does not reflect any "damage". I have included a picture that displays 9mm (2-middle) .308 Win (1-left) and 45ACP hits (2-right). Both 9mm/45ACP calibers where only able to scratch the paint off, .308 Win hits only removed larger splatters of paint. This target gives a great tone…. instant target feedback is great!! It is recommended to use a minimum 100 yards (and < 3000 fps) for rifle and 10 yards for pistol to maximum target longevity. Delivery: XSteel targets will come unpainted. I would suggest painting your target(s) before using them to protect them from the elements. Shipping was very fast and my target was packed very well to avoid damage/loss. AR500 targets can be very heavy and require care when packaging to avoid destroying the shipping container. Note: XSteel AR500 targets are laser cut so that there is minimal heat transfer resulting in maximum retained integrity in all targets that are cut. Other methods (not used by XSteel) include plasma cutting which is cheaper to do but also compromises the integrity of the AR500 steel which can result in degraded target life and unpredictable target pitting. This target is the real deal and I would have no issue recommending this XSteel target to all of my shooting buddies for anything up to .308 Winchester. If you want an XSteel target that you don't see on Amazon you can visit the XSteel website (xsteeltargets dot com) or contact the XSteel seller. I purchased this product for a reduced price to make an honest and unbiased review.
