Works great but smells moldy. Like it sat in a car for years and got moldy. Looks good. Just has a bad smell and EVERYONE at the gym agreed.

A Very Stout Belt and a Strong Buckle

What I like about this weight-lifting belt is that it is very stout. It is made of a semi-soft and thick material that is kind to the body, but very strong. The lever style buckle (or clasp), is heavy duty and is extremely strong. The buckle is easy to latch and easy to release. I really like the design of the buckle. It is esthetically eye-catching. I think anyone would be proud to wear this belt during their work-out. As a bonus, the manufacturer has provided a nice screw driver (not a cheap one) for fastening the screws in place for the buckle. The one thing I did not like about this belt is the way it is packaged. It comes as a flat package, which means the belt is folded flat. It take some time and patience to remold the belt to a round shape. As I said, the belt is thick and stout, and this is good, but it also makes the job of forming it to a round body, harder, when it has been flattened for weeks, in a package. Overall, this is a good product and its durable build suggests it is worth its price. Longer term use, will tell the final tale.

Heavy Duty

It is a very thick genuine leather weight lifting belt. The adjustability of the size comes in handy as you build muscle. My only issue was how it was packaged. When leather is bent and held that way it forms and becomes stiff which made adjusting it a little difficult at first. Also lifting without a shirt that covers the whole torso is a little uncomfortable after a while but with a shirt on it rubs less.

It’s ok

I’ve used a decent amount of belts in the past. Mainly the traditional style. This was my first time using a lever style. It took some time to adjust and setup but afterwards it was really easy to use. Really convenient to take on and off but overall it was just an ok belt. Nothing to rave about but nothing bad about it.

Well made, hope the smell dissipates

I like this overall. It appears solidly made. The buckle is well finished and smooth. I expect to get many years of abuse out of this belt. It does appear to be leather, but more of a suede like finish, not a smooth belting leather. I’m not sure if this is cow or something else, but it does not carry the same leather smell I’ve been used to all my life. I’m not sure if that smell is the leather itself or the tanning chemicals. This belt smells like wet potting soil to me. I hope the smell will “disappear” in the gym.

Great back support

This belt helps me immensely with my back pain after a workout. I fit comfortably with some stiffness, and my body is safer when wearing this belt in the gym. The strap is very thick, sturdy, and easy to size to fit. The belt buckle is very secure and will not open when lifting. Overall, the belt is of good quality and should last a while. Although it is sturdy, it is not too heavy to wear.
