Good mirror, bad wall mount.

I like the mirror but there is a huge problem with the mounting bracket. To mount the mirror on the wall, you secure a bracket with four screws into the wall. The bracket has 2 screws that face away from the wall so you can mount the mirror. The problem is that the acorn-style decorative nuts are too big for the the screws coming out of the bracket. To re-mediate the situation, I had to replace the screws coming out of the bracket with 4mm machine screws with 4mm nuts. Otherwise, I very much like the mirror.

I like this mirror

I like this mirror. Its made well and works great. I recommend to anyone buying a magnifying mirror to make sure of the power you need. This one is 5X. A little more then I need. I'm keeping it anyway, because I'm not getting any younger. Good purchase

I was not impressed.

I purchased this wall-mounted 1x / 5x mirror as a present for my wife. She has a counter top 1x / 5x mirror but needed something she could use while standing in front of the sink. Unfortunately, this particular brand / model has some shortcomings, the biggest of which is the design of the mounting hardware. At the points where the mirror hinge mounts to the base, there are two fragile plastic grommets and one of these broke just a few weeks after installing the mirror. Therefore, the hinge is loose and the mirror arm has up and down play in it. This is a highly specialized part, so good luck replacing it! Then there is the 5x side of the mirror itself (the magnifying / concave side). Unlike my wife's table top 5x mirror (also about 8"), in which the magnified image is clear almost all the way to the edge, this one only has a very small useful area (maybe 4"?) in the center of the mirror and seemingly over distorts the image at the edges. You really can see the difference when you hold the two mirrors side-by-side. Ultimately it didn't meet the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor), so I ended up ordering a different mirror and trashing this one.

Good mirror

I bought this mirror after breaking the IKEA one that we had. It seems very sturdy, mounted easily on the wall, moves and adjusts smoothly. This is some distortion in the magnifying side, but it's not really problematic for me. It's a good mirror for the price and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I have been using the mirror for several months now and I'm very happy with it. I purchased the mirror to help with putting in my contacts without having to bend over the counter and it has saved my lower back. I didn't think that I was going to use the magnification side of the mirror, but turns out it is a big plus for closeups.

I recommend this product

My wife got one of these mirrors several years ago and whenever one of our daughters visit they rave about it. Last Christmas we got one for each daughter and they were well received. No physical problems with the mirrors have been noted during installation or use. I recommend this product.

Pleased with the product.

I am very satisfied with the two sided mirror. It is pretty sturdy, not flimsy like I was afraid of. My wife enjoys using it sitting instead of having to stand in front of the bathroom mirror leaning over the sink anymore.

Frustrated

Well made for the price. But the bad thing is that Asian countries just cant make good glass. I have researched dozens of mirrors like this one, and they all have extreme distortion, and the light reflected is abysmal. I'll keep this one, only because there is nothing out there that is better at this price range. I have a mirror that I purchased about twenty five years back. Made in Sweden No distortion, and very. very bright. If only I could find that one again. Oh, and it's only 13" fully extended..
