I've never used one of these before, so I purchased the filter elsewhere and then purchased the foam filters here. They keep the tanks clean well, and no more sound of running water!

Does it’s Job
I have been using these filters for about five years, and I will continue to use them. I have a turtle and the water stays clean for at least two weeks.

Squeaky Clean!
My turtle, George, needed a new sponge for his tank's filter. He is a messy eater and the sponge can get funky after a while. I have used this sponge for a while now, cleaning it regularly and I have been incredibly happy with how clean it keeps the tank. I would highly recommend the Zoo Med PMC-18 sponge to keep any aquarium clean!

Great replacement sponges
This filter sponges work nicely. They keep my aquarium nice and clean and my little red eared slider loves it. When the sponges get dirty from food or poop just take them out of the filter get some water from your aquarium and squeeze out the junk and that's it they're ready to go (don't use tap water to clean the sponges it kills a lot of good bacteria). They're easy to clean and replace and if you take good care of them they'll last you a while.
