Would look nice, but…
Product looks nice and seems to have a good finish, but had poor packaging and had bent corners with finish chipping off. After replacing with different one, this product also has bent corners, and a large distortion up about 2/3 of the height. Overall, I can’t seem to recommend this product as manufacturer either has poor quality control or poor packaging.

Exactly What I Ordered & in Perfect Condition!
(It is difficult to properly review this without including the bins that it is to hold so both are mentioned here). This panel came wrapped in a cardboard cover which was placed inside another box. For all of those worried that they might receive a mangled panel based upon other reviews, mine came with no bent corners, dings, or scrapes of any kind. Given its intended use by volunteers it probably won't stay that way for long! I got what I wanted but given that I plan on mounting it in a covered tool trailer and don't want its bins to shake loose on the road I'll probably put hand cut shims in behind the bin hangers to keep them in place. I'll need something that is snug but not so tight that it might damage the bins. I might choose instead to place a bungee cord across the face of the bins which could be effective in both keeping the bins in place and in keeping the contents in the bins. My rating of 5 stars is given for the product and its bins as it was advertised properly, in great condition, and will work very well. I just have an extreme use for it which shouldn't affect the rating. (In your workshop or crafts area you will not have this problem except when experiencing earthquakes.) After posting this I found "Akro-Mils 40599 Louvered Panel Bin Retainer Clip, Pack of 6" which holds the bins in and is perfect in the tool trailer. They are out of stock as supplied by Amazon but hopefully they will be available via Amazon soon.

Heavy duty...and just heavy.
The Akro system has been great for me. This hanger plate is much heavier duty than expected. I would not personally put this into drywall but they included the stuff to do it. 16 gauge steel is no joke and the powder coating appears durable. One corner was lightly bent in shipping but I was able to bend it back with some large plyers and the coating did not chip off. It is so overbuilt, I would like to see a lighter duty option at a lower price because I feel like I could hook up a carabiner to this thing and swing on it.

SOLID!
Solid panel, holds the bins tight. This panel is worth every penny. Nicely painted and finished, looks like 16ga Steel. Kind of heavy, so you'll need to mount it well, but there are sufficient mounting holes. Also compatible with the bins you find at the dollar store, although the Akro-Mils bins are far superior (and cheaper in larger quantities).

I was a little hesitant to order this item after reading that others had shipping damage but decided to purchase with the expectation that I might have to flatten the corners when it arrived. However, everything was fine. You can see in attached photo that the outer box was crushed in the upper corner but the unit itself was fine. I suspect that the manufacturer has improved the packaging since the others posted. The location of the holes now allows mounting on 16" centers, however the keyholes are actually further apart than that. To use 16" mounting you can only use one keyhole and one round hole. In my case I will be mounting this unit to a piece of 3/4" plywood so hole location isn't much of an issue. Guage of metal and quality of paint seem fine to me. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase another unit if my needs increase

Poor quality
Item arrived damaged with corers damaged and metal ripped open causing a safety hazard, Quality of panel seams a bit thin for this kind of hanger, paint quality is poor as around damage area all pain was removed already and rusting started. general size is awkward as its not a standard construction material size and does not fit easily in cnd build houses missing all the beams and joists

Solid construction. Nice finish.
Although a little pricey, this panel is well made. I took a star out because mine came with a bent corner, something I did not detect before opening the package. But the gauge of the panel and the (baked-on?) finish were good enough that I was able to bring my unit back into shape using a vise without exposing the metal to rust. The bins position easily and are firmly held. Works well.
