Really good for holding hot stuff.

I got these gloves to hold hot things. Since receiving them I have held many hot things and some not so hot things. First word of caution. Hot things OUTSIDE and you INSIDE the gloves! Do not pour or place hot things inside the gloves before or while using the gloves. after using is ok as long as you dont plan to use them until the hot things are not hot. Not hot times vary by state and altitude among other things. Ive also learned that hot things that are measured in Kelvin or are runny and glowing are not good hot things to try and hold. They are classified as very very hot things and you need at least 3 or 7 pairs of hot thing holders to hold them. Still not an approved use and may void warranty if any. Also if youre working on a PhD in Horribleness these are pretty good. Just do not try and use them to scoop not hot peanut butter. The little furry pieces get in the sandwich and makes your jelly taste funny. Also if youre planning on Bedazzling yours - remember that heat does transfer rather quickly through from the hot things through the hot thing holder to your tender flesh. You should wear a smaller pair of hot thing holders under your bedazzled hot thing holders to keep from having a personalized trip to the hand burn doctors place.

10/10 for Horrible Style. 5/10 for comfort. No real complaints though, they're welding gloves, what do I expect of comfort? In addition to being potentially warm & sweaty over a long period of time, it should be noted, these are STIFF gloves. I got these for a Doctor Horrible costume at a bar crawl, and my poor fingers never had a more rigorous workout gripping my drinks over the course of several hours. (I did ask my baseball loving electrician father if he had either Mitt tips or general leather glove tricks to loosening them up. He said the best and truest way was just through use, or finding a glove that was already worn in. Having already purchased these, I interpreted that as having to do a drinking marathon in the week leading up to the Halloween Bar Crawl... no pain no gain, I suppose!)

Thin, poorly made, and smells terrible

Really poor gloves, actually unpackaged and tried them on then immediately re-packaged to go to Goodwill. (At this price they're not worth returning, but they're also very much an illustration of getting what you paid for.) They have a lining inside that makes them hot to wear just immediately, and are overall just really poor quality. They smelled absolutely atrocious, like either the leather wasn't actually cured properly or the dye use was particularly noxious. The stitching looked uneven and poor, with a few of the threads already coming loose, and the flexibility was terrible, but only one one glove... the other one had pretty decent range of motion. I had planned to use these for handling lightweight raptors, where an actual falconer's glove was kind of overkill but a little protection would be helpful, but they just don't have enough range of motion or sensitivity to handle birds. And the leather is so thin and the flexibility so bad I wouldn't want to use them for any kind of actual work, either. I'm going to have to continue looking for a good pair of gauntlet gloves in actual stores where I can try them on.

Not Horrible, but Horrible Enough

I bought these for a Dr. Horrible Halloween costume. When they arrived, I was somewhat disappointed by their bluish-hue. However, on closer examination, I saw that that was not too far off the original costume. What is different, however, is the black line around the end of the glove. These are the correct material, color, and style of gloves for Dr. Horrible - but if you want a super-exact replica, these are not the gloves for it.

Good gloves

They do exactly what was advertised. They hold up to all we do with them. They are also very comfortable to wear. I would recommend them to everyone. The lose of the star is only because they are a little uncomfortable in the wrist area for me. but I do enjoy them.

Large gloves don't fit too well

I don't remember the size being advertised and I don't remember selecting a size, so I was surprised to see how big they are. They may fit a large man, but they're too big for my hands and therefore rather cumbersome to use. Perhaps it was my ordering error.

Not as pictured

These are not as pictured. They have red bias tape around the wrist, not brown, and the seams are black not grey/same as glove. Also the pair I ordered was damaged, and they seem very poorly made. The whole glove is thinner than any of my other work gloves, and these are lined! EDIT: I did want to mention that the seller was very accommodating about return.

They smell like not all the meat was scraped off the hide before the gloves were sewn from it, but they fit and are well insulated.

Great Gloves

Well I bought these for a halloween costume oddly. But was very plesantly supprised when I got them. They are thick and heavy. Would make increadible work gloves as well as there intended use (welding). I bought them for a "Dr. Horrible" costume and they are almost perfect, just a but darker colour than I expected. But all and all a great product.
