First electric shaver I ever liked.

I used this electric razor about a half hour ago. And I am impressed. This is coming from someone who has sensitive skin and razor bumps\burn. And generally hates electric shavers. (Not anymore) I have tried other shavers from Panasonic, Braun, and Norelco in the $50 to $85 range. ( not tried the $180 to $300 range) And they all left me with bad razor burn and cuts. And I do not press down on the electric razor. Despite being budget priced at $16.49. With only a single foil. This gave me a smooth shave and almost as close. As in 85 to 90%. As my 5 blade Schick Hydro. I have some trouble spots on my neck that no razor can get baby smooth. No matter how many times I pass over it. And the same applies to this electric razor. But, It still cut those trouble spots just as well as my manual razor. And did not leave me with any razor bumps or severe razor burn. I had a mild bit of burn in my trouble spot but I already had that from shaving yesterday with my Hydro electric razor.I even used this to shave the stubble off my head. With success and no burn. I'm have no idea how this thing works so well with only one foil. And I have no idea how this cheap budget shaved is better for my shaving needs and leaves no redness or razor burn as compared to shavers that cost me $4 to 6 times as much. All I know is I really like this. And glad I took a chance. Batteries can be costly. So my suggestion to reduce cost is to either spend the money and get Lithium batteries. Or stock up on cheap Panasonic dollar tree store batteries which run $1.25 for 4. I don't suggest rechargeable batteries because they run at 1.2 volts each. Which takes away .6 volts in your shaver. Which requires 2 AA batteries. Store disposable batteries run at 1.5 volts. And that extra .6 volts makes a 30 to 40% power increase. Resulting in a faster shave and stronger motor. I also tried shaving cream with no problem. Just pull off the foil after use and rinse both parts under water. Then shake it a few times and leave to air dry while apart Or for far quicker time. Buy a can of compressed air or a small electric fan. And shoot air in both the foil and body. I am really glad I got this. If you use this often. On occasion add a drop of shave oil or mineral oil to the internal cutting mechanism to allow smooth cutting along the foil and to extend blade life. The instructions included will describe this far better than myself.

Well worth the money

I already knew about these because I bought one while I was in prison .the prison made us pay 40 dollars for ours though. I know they worked good when I seen that they were on here I had to get one.

Braun Electric Razor for Men, M60b Mobile Electric Foil Shaver, Washable

Good for travel. Not great for a beard but if a little stubble such as daily shaving it is not bad when in a fix. I have used them before and the battery life tends to be long but I don't use it on a daily basis.

Excellent, At times better than my pro shaver

Many people are reviewing this poorly, thats because they are incompetent with its usage. This is not a shaver for anything longer than 1-2mm. That being said its great for daily shaves and provides a very close shave and its pretty safe as long as you're using common sense and not pressing it really hard against your skin, obviously thats what people are doing that "get cut" from it. I use it every day and I run Lithium High drain batteries in it. I would consider this a finishing shaver mainly, as you must shave off longer hair first so this can do the job it was designed for, such as short hair maintenance. To be clear I own This companies professional shavers and it has a larger cutting surface head than the linear osculating blades on the pro models but it can not take larger hairs off like those, so it has its own class in functionality. Basically if you do one good shave with a bigger shaver you could use this every day with never needing to do that again.

Works great!!

I bought a 2nd one for the car and one at home. They both work great. The 1st is over 15 years old and works as well as the 2nd. Batteries seem to last forever!!

Have the right expectations and this is a good deal

I have gone back and forth on electric razors for years between wanting one and backing off because of some review I saw. I like how close a regular razor works, and would even do a straight blade if I had the patience or the time, but when I saw this and how cheap it was, figured it was worth a try and I have been pleasantly surprised. A lot of the reviews out there are not setting the proper expectations for this product. It is a TRAVEL electric razor, not some high dollar 7 or 9 series Braun (at the time of writing this, they are pretty universally considered the industries best/standard). What can you expect when people compare a $17 razor to a $200+ razor? So with the right expectations, here are some things to note that I like and don't like (and a few comments): 1) It runs on AA batteries. Nothing worse than going on a trip and thinking "nah, I can avoid bringing the charging cable" only to have the built in battery die on you 3 days into the your 7 day trip. With this, pop into the hotel gift shop and grab a set of AA's and you're back in business. 2) This is an electric razor....DO NOT press it hard into your skin! Not only will you wear out the blades and guard, but you risk the razor cutting you. You glide it over your skin so the hairs can go in the guard and be cut by the blade. 3) The built in rotating cover and brush are handy so everything is in one unit while traveling. 4) For $17 (price when I bought it), while traveling if I need to cut weight for my bag or it breaks or it gets lost or forgotten, its not the end of the world. Yeah, it is annoying but I'm not going to let $17 affect my mood or ruin a trip. Taking my family to McDonald's for dinner costs more than that! Skip a meal or 2 like that and eat at your hotel/home and you can buy a replacement with the savings. 5) Don't expect this to be high dollar quality. It will last you awhile but if you use it daily for 6 months or more, you got your value out of it and go buy another one. The replacement blades and cleaning cartridges for the high end Brauns will cost you upwards of $60 a year or more on top of the $200 price tag of the unit...You could get 3 of these travel models for the cost of the maintenance of the 7 series in 12-18 months. And if one of these lasts you 6+ months...3 will last you 18+ months so you just saved yourself the $200 initiation fee to be in the 7 series club and still have an OK shave. 6) It does an OK job for a shave but you can't have a lot of growth so it is a daily use kind of a razor. If I miss a day, its easier to get back to the electric razor routine after using shaving cream and a manual razor for a day. My expectations were accurate for traveling and the convenience of being able to shave while I am going about my business with kids, work, etc which helps me get a few minutes more of sleep at night on those rough days. Not for a daily use product expecting an excellent smooth shave. If that's what you want, my bet is an electric razor is not for you. Remember to have the right expectations for the product and this turns out to be a good deal.

Not the Braun quality I've been used to

This shaver uses a lot of battery power (make sure you have access to a suitable supply of batteries). For years Ive had a mains driven Braun shaver which has always performed very well but this M60B isn't in the same league. Also beware of cleaning the shaver head by washing - I found that that rust results from doing so. However, an adequate shaver for short periods (e.g., holidays) and for the price no complaints.

Es una excelente rasuradora pero ya no se consiguen las refacciones básicas como la lámina afeitadora y el bloque de cuchillas. Marqué a un Centro de Servicio Autorizado Braun, ubicado en la calle de Artículo 123 # 7 Col. Centro, CDMX y me dijeron que ya no manejan partes de este modelo desde hace más de dos años porque nunca consiguieron venderlas, que la simple lámina afeitadora costaba $400 (lo mismo que toda la rasuradora nueva). ¡Muy mal por esto, Braun!

Rasuradora de emergencia

El producto es de buena calidad aunque viene en un empaque muy sencillo, trae sus dos pilas necesarias para trabajar, la puedes lavar en el chorro del agua o limpiarla con el cepillito que incluye. Está echa de plástico translúcido y se siente muy bien al tacto, incluye tapa giratoria con seguro de encendido. Pros: •Es portátil •Cuenta con tapa giratoria y seguro •Facil de limpiar (cepillo incorporado) •Baterias reemplazables Contras: •Requiere dar varias pasadas para un corte óptimo • No incluye estuche de transporte

Much inferior to the Braun M90

I purchased 2 Braun M90s from Amazon some time ago, which are first rate. I ordered this one, which looks identical, by mistake. It is a very poor substitute despite its higher cost.
