Great watch
I’ve wanted one for a long time. My local store has them a little overpriced for what they sell for on Amazon. Hard time choosing a color. Considered the blue or the Pepsi. This green version is a little more green than I expected. I was expecting a little more sea foam green. It looks good and I’m not upset. Glad it’s not a darker green. I’m a seiko/Casio guy. I currently have about 7 watches that I rotate between. This will be a daily wear watch. Glad for the screw down crown. Haven’t checked the lume but at this price it doesn’t matter. Bezel clicks really solid. A little give when you try and push it backwards, but it feels really set in place. Strap feels great for this price. In a couple years when it wears a little I’ll replace it with a nato strap.

You’ll get compliments from watch snobs
There is a reason Bill Gates buys this watch and calls it his favorite. Just a solid piece of daily wear tech that looks great and will last you years. I’ve had nicer watches but this is the one that seems to get people to notice it the most, asking about it. I always tell them it’s a $50 watch and they are surprised. I already had this watch in black bezel and just picked up the green bezel, which I love. Stands out a little more than the black. Do yourself a favor and ditch the rubber band that comes with the watch. Pry out the safety bars with a small screwdriver and reinstall the pins (with no band). Now go pick out some 20mm NATO bands you like, and you can switch up your style daily if you like. Looks 100x classier too, and is comfortable. See pics for ideas.

Yeah, I'm that guy. You know. The guy who would spend a bunch of money on fairly expensive watches just to appease my ego and, possibly, fill you with empty envy. Yeah. Me. Then the watches would invariably break and repairs would often be nearly as expensive as the initial purchase price. That's when I finally grew up and realized I didn't need expensive--I needed DEPENDABLE. I didn't need Swiss movement with gold inlay good to a water depth of 300 fathoms. I needed a watch that--believe it or not--TOLD THE CORRECT TIME. This watch from Casio is the real deal. Handsome design, keeps time like a champ, substantial and comfortable. All for about a tenth of what I used to spend on watches. So, yeah. I'm no longer "that guy." Who am I now? Happy. That's who I am.

Date window could be larger. Doesn’t bother me, but could be a factor for others. Other than that minor observation, I consider the watch a bargain. It’ not a Rolex or a Patek Philippe, but it’s very well finished and you can wear it and not worry about damaging it or having it stolen. I’ve two of them now. If a person doesn’t like the plastic/rubber (?) bracelet there’s a lot of replacement choices available at very reasonable prices. Buy several. Add some variety to your appearance!

Looks great and feels great
(7.25" wrist for photo reference) Just got the watch today, but I have to say, it looks even better in person than the photos online. I'm really happy I got the green. I debated heavily between this and the blue one, even thought I might have made a mistake after placing the order. But now that I've seen it in person, I have zero regrets. The green and black looks so good, and the little touch of red on the seconds hand is perfect. It's classy and sophisticated, not too bold, but when the light hits just right, it comes alive and becomes quite the eye catcher. I was also very surprised by how good this watch feels to wear. It's a big boy at 46.3mm case diameter, and 49.5 lug to lug, but I have a large wrist so I wasn't worried about it. However, it's much thinner and lower profile than I expected at only 12mm. It weighs 93 grams so it's got some nice heft to it, but I feel like it has a low center of gravity and hugs my wrist really well. Just very pleasantly surprised by how well this watch wears on my wrist. By comparison, my daily is a G-Shock GA-2100 "CasiOak", which is much lighter and technically smaller at 45.4mm case diameter, 48.5 lug to lug, and 11.8mm thick. But I swear this Casio MDV-106 "Duro" feels better on my wrist. However, I think most of that is due to the stock resin strap/mounting system on the Casioak, which isn't as comfortable as this one. I'm thinking I'll replace the strap on the Duro, and put the Duro strap on my Casioak. Anyway, very happy with this watch. Can't think many better ways to spend $50.

Nice watch
Nice looking watch which I have just opened. Replacement for a similar Rotary watch which is probably beyond repair. Imported from California, made in China. I will replace the stock rubber strap with a NATO style nylon version. Update* 7th January 2023. The date window is very small and not easy to read on “7”. If this watch had a bigger date window and magnifier, like my Rotary, Invictus and Seiko watches, it would be almost perfect for the money.

Great watch with a couple of flaws
Bought this and the delivery was astonishingly quick. The only issue I have with the watch out of the box is the strap - though I see replacements can be bought here or on another site. That aside thoroughly recommended. Note: the Duro is addictive, once you’ve got one colour then others start to appeal too (as does sapphire crystal). Would be great if Casio made these available in the uk market, though de facto they are.

What's not to love? Fantastic value for money. The silicone (plastic?) strap isn't great but I found a lovely stainless steel bracelet for £13 on Ali Express. For less than £80 all in it's great value for money. I've dived with the Duro and it's a great watch. Perfectly legible underwater and water resistance is more than good enough for me (recreational diver).
