Easy To Install

Very easy to install with simple tools. Make sure to replace the rubber piece and spring inside your faucet at the same time you install the cartridge (Delta Faucet RP4993, Black,Small). It will last for many years and not leak.

Easy fix.

Stopped the leak I couldn’t control. I was afraid I would have to replace the whole faucet but found this easy fix on Amazon- seam’s they have everything.

The real deal

Installed aftermarket stem assembly only to find my water flow was reduced by more than half of what I was getting with the original. These Delta parts got me back to where I was at when the faucet was new. Get OEM parts! Lesson learned.

Stopped the leak.

Worked on my delta two handle bathroom faucet. Stopped the leak and was easy to install. Read all the reviews and they are correct, saved money without using a plumber who quoted me $175.00 to rebuild, to do what I did myself with only this stem. My handle was leaking when I turned it on. I simply swapped out the stem and stopped the leak. Warning, There is only one stem in the package. I thought there would be two for the price, like other ones that are all plastic sold on Amazon that also include replacement washer and spring. I guess you pay more for the metal stem and delta official replacement part. No washer or spring included. The washer and spring goes underneath the stem FYI.

Try a basic seat replacement first

If you're having a small drip out of the faucet itself then your problem is likely only a seating gasket. If you're having a hard time turning your handles, this will likely fix it. If there is a leak originating at the handle then this will likely solve your problem but most leaks manifest as a small drippy faucet. If that's what your experiencing I would recommend trying https://www.amazon.com/Delta-Faucet-RP77737-Seats-Springs/dp/B00LCU1I5S or any of the hundreds of third party replacements. They're significantly cheaper and are likely to solve the drip.

Genuine Delta repair part

Hot water faucet was leaking and when I saw the disgusting condition of the cold water stem assembly I knew I had to replace both. Perfect replacement, no drips and bathroom faucet works like new.

Worked great, do not buy the generic replacements

I purchased a plastic faucets stem assembly from Home Depot that was not made by Delta, but was listed to work for my Delta faucet. The stem piece was plastic and there was a gap between the stem and the plastic curved pieces that go around it (the stops). It worked to turn on and off the water, but the handle was not sturdy once reassembled. I could flex it back in forth, either because of the plastic stem or the gap. I purchased this Delta assembly from Amazon and it worked perfectly. Very easy to install and it makes the handle feel sturdy. Since it worked and I knew it was an easy DIY project, I called Delta to send me parts for the rest of my leaking faucets (the entire house is Delta). They were great and sent them to me for free. It was worth it to me to purchase one assembly to make sure it was something I wanted to tackle. Also, the Delta RP24096 is the same stem as this RP25513. The 25513 comes with the plastic stop that you need to put into the correct position depending upon if you are installing the stem on the hot or cold tap (YouTube has some good videos). The assembly that you are removing will have the stop and you can reuse it if you purchase the RP24096. When I ordered, the RP25513 was less expensive than the RP24096. Prices can change often. You can order either part so pick the one that costs the least at the time of ordering.
