They are GREAT-yet expensive. Not to be used as lighting gels.

I used these for a different purpose. We used these to gel LED light on our house for Christmas. We used the red and green sheets to cast red and green cones of light around our house. The sheets were not designed for this and thus lost their color once exposed to the gentle heat of LED. I gave them 4 stars because everything was fine with them, however they were too costly for what they are (colored sheets of thin plastic). I used them for a purpose not intended and they held up as expected, albeit insufficient for my needs. Do not use these as lighting gels. For their intended purpose they are GREAT!

It worked great especially for the visual learners

I teach 8th grade Algebra 1. I cut the sheets in half and let each of my students take 2 pieces of different colors and used them to graph systems of inequalities in order to show the solutions to the system. It worked great especially for the visual learners. And they loved getting to pick their own colors. Since I only had 24 students, there were plenty of half sheets of each color so that every student got the two colors they wanted. Would definitely buy them again.. Only difference I would wish for is to not have the clear sheets. I'm sure they're useful for other purposes, just weren't for what I was using them for. Doesn't take away from the 5 star rating, though. :)

Easy Faux Stained Glass Look

I bought these to make a faux stained glass look to my kitchen door where the sun comes in. I didn't want a curtain as I want to see who is at the door and I wanted something colorful for my all white kitchen since I use the primary colors for a pop of color in the space. Recommended. Just use a mix of water and a few drops of liquid dish soap and a small squeegee and soft cloth to apply them. Oh, and a sharp razor blade and a ruler for an exact fit.

Quality

I used this product to make a fake held flame for my cosplay and it worked. It does not do very good with heat as I sometimes accidentally burned a hole through it. I found out it was best to let it roast over an open flame like a candle instead of a lighter to create the movement of the fire in the paper. (I would also wear overmitts for this process)

Amazing

I purchased this product because I wanted to create a faux stained-glass look for my bathroom window. It was so bright and I did not want to hang a curtain which would have made the space even smaller. The basic idea started with the random squares around the edge and the rest of the design was just decided on the fly. With the exception of using Elmer's glue (which I thought would dry clear), I like the end product. I also placed double full sheets on my kitchen window to create a quiet yet colorful mood.

Makes for an easy beautiful suncatcher project and more!!

Laid out a little paper frame on some clear contact paper then put a main item cutout in the center.. then cut these Hygloss cello sheets into little triangles.. placed the triangles (or for fun mix them around and just place the contact paper over them to 'pick them up' until no sticky spot remains in the central focus area. Place second sheet of clear contact paper on the back and you have a beautiful suncatcher! Bought a mason votive candle jar from the dollar store and am going to decorate it on the inside in the same way and just put in a battery operated tea candle light.

Great quality product for price

This is a great product for price. Colors are a bit off and pale. Sheets are very thin. I'm a photographer and used these cello sheets to create a mosaic for one of the floor to ceiling windows in my studio by spraying glue on cut sheets and sticking them to the window. This window receives about 2 hours of sun a day. 3 months later they are almost translucent. Nothing wrong with that either. This is my fourth order of these cello sheets and they do exactly what i need as I change the design on the window often and the color effect in my studio is amazing! As other reviewers have stated, these cellos have so many cool creative uses you're sure to make something cool with them and have fun doing it!

Used for reading

I purchased this product so some of my family could use the colored sheets to help with reading glitches. We figured out what color worked best for each person and then laminated it which took out the wrinkles and will make it last longer for what we are using it for. With one in our family,using blue helps them see the words separated as words and not just a bunch of letters. With the other family member, using blue makes the words stop moving so it is easier to use and reduces eye fatigue. It's much cheaper purchasing this product and using it as we are than purchasing the colored reading transparencies.
