Small but Useful

I got this for my classroom because I’m a composter and I was throwing away so much food in my class. It fits perfectly on top of my mini fridge. Just know it’s a little bigger than a personal sized ice chest.

Wonderful compost bin but filter holder needs improvement

Like the other reviews the charcoal filter keeps falling into the compost bin. I actually had to go fishing in my apt compost bin to pull my bag and get my filter holder back. Why is this happening? Noticed two sides of the holder doesn’t have the clip maybe that’s the issue and they need to add them. Otherwise I love that I can pull the entire basket out to take my compost to the bin. I had another compost bin but it had no lid so this is an improvement. **GLAD - fix the filter holder!!**

Pitch the air filter

Since the negative reviews are only about the filter, just throw it away! It’s not needed and the unit works fine without it. Works nicely with the 3 gal biodegradable bags from Costco.

Multiple problems

I like the bin for it's size, look, and ease of bag removal. But the first one I bought was missing the bag holder on the back. And no bags come with it. I ordered a replacement and the filter holder in the lid repeatedly popped out into the waste. No matter how hard I secured it, it fell out and I had to dig through the food scraps to retrieve it. Apparently I missed it once and it's gone forever. Maybe it will turn up when I retrieve my composting dirt. I'm not seeing any option to order this part. So now bugs can fly in or I must change it every two days. I will be buying a different brand.

Good countertop compost

Very easy to change compostable bay. Bag does not hang over outside edge. White color is very white so looks like cheaper plastic. But works well

This helps us follow new recycling guidelines

New regulations in California are requiring us to separate food waste so I purchased this bin. I like the size, it holds a decent amount yet doesn’t take up too much space on the counter. I wish they included a few bags, so I had to order a box of bags at the same time. Overall, it suits our needs. My only complaint is the filter cap. It doesn’t fit snugly on the lid. It kept falling and dropping into the bin. My husband didn’t notice and ended up tossing out the cap and filter. I’ve emailed customer service for a replacement, but I have not received a response.

Change isn’t always easy but this made it easier.

With our green waste regulations changing where I live, I thought it was going to be a big headache. But adding this pail to my counter top made it easier than I thought it would be. It’s the perfect size and very easy to use. Have not had any problems with odor while the lid is closed. Changing out the bag is easy and clean. I also had a loose filter cap which dropped in and got thrown away before I noticed. I contacted the customer service by email and rec’d. an instant response and a replacement. The new cap fits perfectly!

Within a month the plastic holding the filter square dropped into the compost and got thrown out.

I did Love this. It looks so much nicer than other counter top compost bins and there is no smell. However within a month the square insert which holds the filter in place must have dropped in the bin and got thrown out with the compost so now we have no ability to use the filter squares.

highly not recommend

we are tempted by the scent features of the compost bin; however, we can't really test it this feature is as good as its claimed because the little plate that lock the filter to the lid always falls off. without the filter, it's just a normal bin that you can buy from elsewhere in a much cheaper price. the design is nice. the airflow design is ideal but don't expect there is a filter to help you to reduce the scent.
