Just what I needed

I purchased this part because the holes holding the screws for the bottom piece had stripped out. Kind of a bummer that I had to replace this entire part, but the price wasn't too bad to get my vacuum cleaner running again. Took about half an hour of fussing and figuring out assembly.

Genuine Dyson Part

Its never a bad idea to use OE parts for any repair as is the case here. As is common with these brushroll housings, one of the roller brush mounting screw holes cracked and would not allow the roller brush end to fully secure to the brushroll housing there by creating a growling noise. This part resolved all those issues. Very straight forward swap of the brushroll motor from the broken part to the new and you get an opportunity to clean out that motor assembly while performing the swap.

Perfect Replacement for DC41

Had to replace the housing in my DC41 Animal because some of the screw stand-offs for the roller were cracked or broken. This worked perfectly.
