Ok. Some adjustments needed.

This has a top hook that goes over the horizontal bar, and 2 pieces that fold out and rest against the front legs of the walker. The two parts that fold out were apparently too tricky for my mother, her friends, and the paratransit drivers, to position correctly. I was able to put them in place fine, but older or disabled people might find it difficult to hold the basket in place, while properly positioning those two parts. Without those two pieces in place, the basket is not stable. I ended up taping those two parts to the walker with duct tape. Paratransit might not be happy that the basket is not removable now, so the walker cannot fold completely flat, but since they could not put the basket back on properly, this is my solution for now. The basket also makes the walker a little front heavy, so I adjusted the front legs a little higher. You might have a different experience with your specific walker. I wanted a wire basket instead of a cloth one, because I don't want this to be a substitute purse. I want this to be a way to carry temporary items like a travel mug, or similar items, back and forth when needed. I think that's easier with a structured open wire basket, versus a cloth bag, which might be more difficult to put things in and out of, would probably need more cleaning, and might start to collect things like coins and cookies and small bits of paper. Overall this basket works well, but as I said above, it does make the walker a little front heavy, (but I imagine anything attached to the front would), and the fold-out parts that rest against the legs are apparently tricky for some people to place properly. So buy yourself some duct tape :-)

ok for light items

got this for my moms walker. she kept putther Oxygen tank in the basket- weighs 2.5lbs and this buckets front brace broke off. i bought another basket and it happened again. basket is good for tissues pens or real light stuff. otherwise the basket fit onto her walker and did not tilt her walker forward- which was a concern of mine.

helpful for moving items when using walker

The basket is big enough to carry items but it adds significant weight to the walker. I am currently non weight bearing and it takes more energy to use walker with the basket. I reserve the basket time to when I really need to tote something. It is easy to install and remove.

Beyond helpful!

This basket is helpful for carrying items from one room to another. If you have hanging clothes to put away, just hang them across the basket to transport them to the closet. It has a cup holder for a drink. A great help when you have to use a walker.

Great product

I purchased this for my brother who just returned home using a walker after 8 weeks in the hospital/rehab. It’ll be very useful to him while he learns to walk independently again. Love that it included a tray so items don’t slip through the bottom of the basket.

Was everything expected

The basket was really great. You can carry so many different things. I used it to carry dishes (small amount) from the dishwasher to where they are stored. For breakable items I took out the tray and put a hand towel in so the dishes would not break. Well worth the price.

DOESNT FIT SOME DRIVE WALKERS

This basket didn’t easily fit the Drive 10210-1,which I bought at the same time. My husband anchored it with zip ties. This model walker has a curved front brace. Also the plastic cup holder that’s included is VERY thin & not sturdy. It looks like disposable packing. Too much hassle to return so I use it anyway.

Doesn't fit Drive's own Travel Walker (RTL10263KDR).

The product description really isn't clear that it is not intended for the Travel Walker. And it's not returnable :-( You can return an over-the-toilet bathroom shelf, but not this because it's "personal care". Like underwear? Gimme a break. It is *possible* to attach the basket to this walker, sort-of, but it wobbles and can fall off very easily. Certainly using it to transport a hot drink or something would be dangerous. And as others have said, the plastic insert is a piece of junk - looks sturdy enough in the picture, but is super thin like take-out food clamshell material.

Pratique

J'ai acheté ce panier pour ma mère. Sa marchette est différente de celle illustrée alors j'ai dû mettre le panier à l'intérieur au lieu d'en avant. Ça fonctionne tout aussi bien. Parcontre, quelqu'un a jeté le fond de plastique et je n'arrive pas à en trouver un de remplacement...

Missing the insert tray

I received the basket, which was great, but the insert tray was missing. That was the primary reason that I'd ordered this one. Amazon gave 20% off, but what we really wanted was to have the missing tray sent instead, and couldn't wait longer to have our senior patient put the basket into use. All in all, a bit disappointing. It did arrive in the time specified though.

A necessity for all walkers.

Bought this for my Mom, it adds another level of safety as she is now able to 'carry' items around the house but still keep both her hands on the walker.

Does not fit walker and impossible to try to return!

I'd give this a zero rating at the moment if I could. I ordered it for my 91 year old mother's walker and it doesn't fit. I'm trying to return it and the company directed me to Amazon and Amazon is impossible to get a hold of and it's telling me I need to contact the company. Both are being extremely difficult to deal with! I just want a basket that will fit my mother's walker!
