Not as good as I thought after breaking in.
Update: I now have had these boots for almost two weeks. I’ve decreased my rating from 4 to 2 stars. The boots did indeed break in and loosen up a bit becoming much easier to put on. I do not work in a blue collar setting. I live in the Mid-South where the ground is soggy for days after rain, and it’s culturally the thing to do, wear boots. I say that to say I don’t think I’m particularly rough on boots. My first weekend with these I was putting a steel shed together in my backyard. It was physical work, leveling the ground by hand, moving bricks and blocks, some days were incredibly muddy and slick. I was also working with sheet metal, so it’s very easy to slice yourself on the ends. All I know is that after the dust settled and the project was complete. I cleaned my boots up a bit. There were quite a few scratches in the leather, not scuffs, scratches. There were areas where the leather actually kind of “scootched up”. The best way to describe it is like if you took your finger nail and scratched a piece of paper, as you’re tearing it the paper would kind of bunch up under your finger nail; that’s what the leather looked like. Lastly, it might be going a way perhaps as I continue to break them in, but inside the boot you’ll see where there are two pieces cut and stitched to become the sole of the shoe. For some reason my left foot where these two piece are joined together begins to start hurting after wearing for a little while. Right side, when looking inside is done the same way. Don’t know if perhaps the measurement is off on one of them but it’s rather uncomfortable. Further up the boot around the calf area it looks like not only is the leather creasing a bit but perhaps bubbling a little in vein like patterns. I bought these at a pretty good price, cheaper than they are the moment. These were half of what I spent on my very first boots, Ariats, and I feel like I’ve gotten about half the value. Original review: Just got these boots, so don’t have much time in them yet. I was surprised how snug these were getting them on, from a width sense. I think they’ll loosen up as I break them in, but I almost thought I ordered narrow. Measurements provided on the size chart seem to be pretty accurate, boots fit perfectly from length. The boots really look good though, I’m very very happy.

Nice boots especially for price I paid. For XW my impression is a bit on narrow side but I expect will stretch. I think the left boot is a tad narrower than the right but it works. Update: I bought some shoe stretch liquid and did some stretching of the instep on my boots. World of difference. Check out on line videos of how to stretch. I had never thought to do that and the result is almost a custom fit. FWIW: I used an old olive oil bottle that was just the right size to push into the boot and did some adjusting with a rag. A lot cheaper than a boot stretcher but not quite as elegant I suppose. With a couple of adjustments, you can get just what you want. Spray on the stretch liquid and let it sit. Took three or four adjustments but I got the boots just nice. Look on line for the stretching liquid recipe. You can make it for 1/10 of what you will pay.

Great purchase!
My husband loves these boots! Also, the price is amazing! They come in a wider width which is what he wanted, so that was a big plus. They are more comfortable than he expected and they look great! Also, he looked around and the price is much less than other shops.

great boot for the price but i had to return because they were to small. i usually wear a 11 regular in boots, but they were way to tight, may need to order one size up and maybe even not hesitate to order a wider version too

I love the fit and the distressed color. Tough material, just needs a little breaking in. I didn't get the comfort soles Dan Post is so well known for with my order.. A huge let down, but for 100 bucks what are you gonna do?

Bought the size I normally ware in a boot and it was WAY to small. Loved the color and style. I was very hopeful but alas.
