Absolutely Amazing; Fast, Smooth and Simple~~~ !!!

Bought this stud installer on a whim since in the past I had just used a nut/washer combination to pull new studs into place. This installer had a roller bearing surface that allows the nut to spin as it tightens with no side load on the stud. It pulled the stud into place in less than 15 seconds using a regular 1/2" drive ratchet to turn the lugnut. Worked so well, I am looking for another project to use it on. The last one was to replace three cross-threaded 2014 Accord rear studs that a local tire ship screwed up and then tried to blame my SIL. Tire had never been off and the lugs were pristine before the new tires were installed. Made the repair a simple one. I removed and replaced three banged up studs (and new lug nuts needed too) in less than 20 min. Nice....

Did the job but…

It did what it claimed, but it messed up the lug not a little, nothing a file and some patients didn’t resolve, but I recommend getting an extra nut so you can use that just for the install.

Make sure you know how close the studs are to the hub before purchasing.

I am only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because it was too big to work on my dodge dakota truck even though in the description is says its for a truck. I should have measured how close the studs were to the hub before purchasing so I put some of the blame on myself. Because the studs are so close to my hub, it was pulling the new studs i was installing in crooked and rendering it useless for me to use. Make sure you know how close your studs are to the hub before purchasing. If you don't, you could end up buying something that won't work for your vehicle like I did. However, I used this on my friends ram 2500 and it worked perfectly.

a good tool that is a great idea

the tool works great, if it fits on the hub of your wheels. Make sure there is enough room between the studs your installing and the raised hub center cap.
