It waters a large area with low pressure

Best option for my irrigation system on city water with 3/4" line and medium to low pressure. it really sprays a long distance > 20' and is fast moving like golf course stuff. I use it on the inside of my circle drive one in place of where I had 7 before.

Fully Functional Impact Sprinkler

More value for less cost

This impact sprinkler was easy to install. The instructions could be better. Adjustment is actually quite simple; A lever, if pushed up, allows 360-degree rotation. To adjust rotation, this lever is placed in the down position. The Y-Shaped Spring (Adjustment Friction Collar) at the base of the unit, when rotated controls the limit of rotation upon contact with the lever. in the downward position. This will result in the spray pattern, you desire. The third adjustment is the plastic screw just under the head. By turning this plastic screw, you will be able to control the spray distance and the amount of water-break-up, I recently purchased a second unit. I highly recommend this product.

Great cost effective replacement for Rain Bird Maxi Paw

My Rain Bird Sprinkler system is probably at least 10+ years old and is starting to show signs of wear and tear on the rotor heads and even the cup that houses the sprinkler has been sinking or angling due to the freeze / thaw cycles. Some of the rotor heads still work fine while others struggle to rotate, hence this Orbit replacement is extremely cost effective at 1/3 the cost of an equivalent Rain Bird Maxi Paw replacement and this is including the housing cup as well where the Rain Bird Rotor replacement is at least $20 just for the head. I highly recommend getting the Rain Bird Sprinkler Head Tool as it makes the entire job very easy and I'm not sure how else you could replace the sprinkler head without it. The tool works with both Rain Bird and this replacement Orbit head as well. Warning, the Orbit head is very difficult to remove from the housing it comes installed in, but it does unscrew with enough force (might need 2 people or use a vice to hold the handle of the tool while rotating the housing to remove the rotor head). Great Value, Great Results, can't go wrong with the Orbit replacement at less than $10.

2 of 5 malfunctioned

We have used Rainbird Sprinklers for many years and love them. Unfortunately the batch of 5 we got this time 2 of them blew the whole insides out when the water was turned on. Amazon is wonderful about replacing the ones that broke. I have ordered another 5 sprinklers, trying to update all of our sprinklers as most are several years old.

How to adjust it

Seems fine, but only briefly tested so far. Instruction were very poor, I had to find a video of how to adjust and use it. It appears this design is mainly used in USA and not a familiar product in the UK.

Doesn't work

The spring holding down the top is way too tight. I had to use a screw driver to pry it open. It would take tremendous water pressure to push the top up and allow the sprinkler to work. There were loose parts rattling inside the canister upon receipt. Take a pass on buying this poorly made pop-up sprinkler.

Good coverage

Even if your water pressure is not great or you have several outlets using the same water line, this unit performs well and provides a small to 360 degree spread of water. There are two available ports to connect the unit to the water line. Very impressed with the ability of the unit to disperse water over a relatively large area.

1 out 3 worked

I had ordered 6 of these to replace 25year old ones. After replacing 3 old ones in my front yard with these . When I first turned them on none the new ones would even pop up . I had to pull the first one up manually to find it was not seating properly. Also 2 of the 3 would not reverse direction when tripping manually. This was after spending 3 hours replacing them . Probably will not waste my time changing the other 3 old ones now that I have to replace the 3 new ones .

Don't waste your money, dug my old one out and installed this one turned the water on and it does not osculate.
