Works well…

Works best for larger lids and lids that have plastic lines on the lids. You know what I mean not smooth lids. Needs something to grip. But works well but not for everything with a lid. Glad I purchased it though since some lids for grocery items are very tight! Not a cheap item by price but if it lasts a long time without breaking well worth it.

Fantastic product

I’m an occupational therapy provider. I have owned this product for 14 years and it still holds up. I not only use it myself, I also use it in my practice for my patients with poor grip strength. The silicon pad really helps grip the jar, making the twisting motion easy to handle. Several of my patients have purchased this, with assistance, and are extremely happy with their results.

Good for arthritic hands

I was having trouble opening a jar of pizza sauce the old school way and really hurting my hands doing it. When it finally opened, the sauce went everywhere!!! I mentioned it to a friend and she highly recommended the OXO Good Grip. I've only used it a couple of times so far, but it definitely has made a difference on the pain in my hands trying to grip a jar! I watched a video someone put out incorrectly using the rubber grip that's include with it. This guy kept trying to wrap the grip around the jar, when it is to set the jar on to keep it from spinning.

Doesn't do that good a job.

It has metal teeth that grip the lid, if they slip, they cut the metal on the lid, which then will cut you if you are not careful. Not recommended.

Very good

This product seems quite sturdy. The grip is quite comfortable and as someone who has used the triangle version of jar openers (sans handle), I would imagine that the grip here would be more comfortable for people with poorer wrist mobility or pain. Delivery was very quick.

Good quality and works well

Like many of the OXO products that I have, this jar opener works well. I know that sounds like an ad but my grip is not what it used to be and there are often times its not enough to open new jars. This thing is simple and does the job. I did not like the idea of the rubber mat when I got it, though it was something to just loose, now I am using it, I'm glad its there.
